What's really terrifying is that even if they're not successful, they have still undermined democracy and this will have lasting effects in the US and globally for years. Trump is trying to destroy everything on his way out so that Biden inherits an ungovernable mess. Putin must be rubbing his hands with glee.

Georgia recount found Biden to have won by approximately 15,000 votes. No doubt Trump and his melting mess of a lawyer will say it was so close they won. The US need a new system, this is a joke.
“The results of the Risk Limiting Audit of Georgia’s presidential contest, which upheld and reaffirmed the original outcome produced by the machine tally of votes cast,” the secretary of state’s office said in a statement.
“Due to the tight margin of the race and the principles of risk-limiting audits, this audit was a full manual tally of all votes cast. The audit confirmed that the original machine count accurately portrayed the winner of the election.”
“Georgia’s historic first statewide audit reaffirmed that the state’s new secure paper ballot voting system accurately counted and reported results,” said Brad Raffensperger, the secretary of state. “This is a credit to the hard work of our county and local elections officials who moved quickly to undertake and complete such a momentous task in a short period of time.”

Been said time and time again, you want to know how Nazi Germany and Fascism in Italy arose, it was literally like this. All the hallmarks are there. Not saying they're going to try and start a world war next (although now he's planning military action in Middle East apparently), but it's just... mindboggling. This shouldn't even be given time of day by smart minded republican folk (if they exist), instead they're hammering it down further.

They have openly said that they are trying to start as many fires as they can for the incoming administration, geopolitical ones too. They will try and launch an attack on Iran in the next two months, I fear.

It is a dangerous game to play. The likes of this women, Trump, and most of their supporters start to believe their own nonsense. It's something kids do, really start to believe a mistruth. In that sense its quite funny. But, with millions of gun-toting red necks believing there is injustice (when the opposite seems more likely true - Trump is holding up free democracy), is there a real risk of violence? Trump is playing with fire and will go down as a deeply divisive, and potentially quite dangerous fool. America's reputation is tarnished. At the moment they are little better than a newly formed African nation struggling to maintain democracy.
Or...is social media overstating the issue, and most Americans are accepting of democracy? Where does digital narratives end and real-life begin? That is the one fascinating thing with Trump. There is no clear distinction.
