American politics

Apologies. I was hoping for a solid repudiation of Trumpism and it looks like we didn't get it.

It is likely Biden wins but the closeness of the final numbers may mean it will be contested in court, which is a nightmare scenario. The senate is also nearly as important and it is in the balance. Another nightmare if the Dems don't win it. If they don't win then no legislation will be passed.

Confirms everything I think about America. What a fudged-up nation.

Dem supporters have spent the past 4 years calling anyone that voted trump an idiot instead of trying to calmly pointing out why they were wrong.

Dems then put up some one as inspirational as Biden and expected to cruise home on the back of some policies mainly aimed at people that were already going to vote for him.

With brexit/bojo and trump you really know the brick has hit the fan!

An Orange Man win is genuinely good for the UK. We will get a trade deal a little faster and with more good will with Trump around.

This era will be seen in history as the beginning of the end of America’s preeminence. For all of democracy's admirable checks and freedoms, the west is also showing the limitations of the existing (slightly tired) democratic system too. While China powers ahead.

Just seen Republicans have likely held the Senate so if Biden wins he won't be able to get much through anyway.

This was from yesterday evening in Washington.
If this does go Trump's way, then some American cities will probably witness very ugly scenes.
