Well he should call for healing, the country is ripping itself in two, but also he must push for accountability. The two are not mutually exclusive. Whether he'll get a chance even if he wins is another thing though.

Trump's play is not a secret. Nothing is with him. He's openly saying that he will declare himself the winner on election night, shut down mail ballot counting via the courts, and basically shoot protesters under the insurrection act when they disagree with him.
 
Been having a curious look at some articles in various US papers and according to polls over a few Trump is not going to be remembered as anywhere near the worse President in US history.

Nixon, Bush and Obama feature higher in most

Thats interesting for me to read, maybe paints a picture of how messed up the US has been if Trump is not even considered the worse of all time.

They have had a lot of idiots in the job, i am old enough to remember the failed actor who's biggest movie was as a co star to a monkey.
 
Sounds like even if Trump doesn’t get to install another Bible Belt judge into the Supreme Court before presidential election, McConnel has ensured that America’s federal courts are now loaded with very right wing conservatives for the next few decades.

Trump/McConnell/GOP/Barr/Trump Spawn/Pompeo/etc. are all looking at their political demise or face legal jeopardy in less than 3 months if Biden is elected. Unfortunately, there are way more levels of depravity they all can and will sink to.

Another one from today's news to add to the list - the Manhattan DA says he has grounds to investigate Trump for tax fraud.

It is a bit more complicated than that from what I have read. Trump cannot pardon state crimes, and he's on the hook himself for a bunch of those, nor can he pardon anyone implicated in a crime he is a party to (which is all of them). Trump quitting and having Pence blanket pardon him would also be legally challenged. I have no doubt if he looses he'll try some shenanigans and will appeal it up to the supreme court. That's why the future makeup of the supreme court, soon to be 6-3 in his favour, seems like his best way out. However, if the Dems win the senate even that escape route will quickly be closed. I could see this dragging through the courts for years.

Honestly, I predict a riot in November. A big one.

one theory I’ve heard is if he loses he is going to resign on the day, admit guilt of taxes etc and pence will pardon him
