He’s so vain. It’s fine, he would have assumed it was about him anyway.
I was just about to mention the song was also about me.He’s so vain.

Presidential pardons have no place in a moderen democracy.
These ones certainly don't. He's normalizing this behavior with the horde for the upcoming pardons of Stone/Manafort/Flynn, IMO.Presidential pardons have no place in a modern democracy.

That's a fair point though it is a power that can be used appropriately to right a miscarriage of justice. For example, pardoning Crystal Mason would be a just and suitable pardon to make. Trump is abusing this power of course. It's not just Trump, TBF. I just can't see a reason why an elected official should be allowed to overrule judicial decisions as he/she sees fit. That's for the courts to decide, not a president.

Fun fact - Trump is the 10th highest-paid athlete in America.
I meant to come back on this. Until Trump, the president didn't make the decision. There is a formal transparent process with committees and lawyers to be even shortlisted. But of course, Trump corrupts everything he touches, and now Hannity decides who is pardoned. It is in the constitution so I doubt they'll nix it. Governers can pardon or commute sentences too, incidentally. But how suited is a president to determine what is a miscarriage of justice or not? Which cases to choose over others? It just doesn’t make sense in a country of 300+ million to give one man the power to overrule the entire judicial system.
But anyways, that's a different debate. What has Trump been up to today?
I wonder will the Coronavirus be the thing to shift the needle for some of magas. No doubt Trump will handle it with his usual incompetence but this time there will be a fairly horrible death toll to accompany his dumb ass decisions. I guess most will blame Obama or the rainforest, or some other stupid brick but it is gonna get bad over there if it not contained quickly. Economy will take a nosedive too no doubt.
I wouldn't be too sure. If it catches hold it will spread countrywide quickly for a number of reasons. One being that medical costs are so high there as to stop people even going for checkups. Infections will go undetected and unreported. Another is they can't lock down cities and stop movement in the same way the Chinese did with Wuhan (which failed anyway). The good old boys with their pickups full of guns especially won't like being told to stay put. And another is that Trump has dismantled all the pandemic related programs because Obama set them up.Wishful thinking i suspect. Coronavirus (or Caronavirus as trump spells it) wont affect enough of those dumbass republican voting lives. All they care about is the wall and their right to bear arms.
