Why he tried to carry on when he could barely walk I’ll never know. Should have just walked off. I get he didn’t want to let the team down but in his state he was more a hindrance than a help.

I will sadly speculate that it is ACL or MCL. Good luck to him.
Im not sure - ACLs dont cause issues straight away - its overnight they swell and first morning the pain really comes. It doesnt feel right to start with, but you wouldnt need crutches

That's why I think he tried to play on, adrenaline versus not immediately crippling like a torn hamstring.

When my son did his, after a lengthy time on the pitch he slowly made his way off the pitch with help. He was then given crutches and a brace that night in hospital in order to just stabilize his situation. He was then given a surgery date of 3 weeks later with instructions to strengthen muscles around the knee via a program, he then spent 8 months with op and rehab getting it back to speed (surgery saw patela tendon used)...he was back for 5 months and then tore ankle ligaments!

I think it is ACL or MCL but hope I am wrong.

Dunno, didn’t Bentancur need oxygen coming off the pitch against Leicester and he was clearly in a lot of distress.

It's that, a kid now breaking through, no subs, felt he needed to when the bench was clearly telling him to lie down.

Pity, think there is potential there (even hobbling he got into a good position for the unexplainable PEH pass)

fudge Bournemouth's bench for their reaction
