I don't know if this is what you meant or not but knighthoods can't be stripped as they expire on death apparently...

Also, I knew Johnson would get a lengthy sentence but to be honest I'm surprised it's as long as that. I'm not saying at all that Johnson doesn't deserve it but there have been peadophilles who have done worse crimes against younger children and got far weaker sentences...

The difference is random pedophiles don't turn an entire city against a poor girl for 2 years when they plead innocent.

He will walk out just fine, will spend 1-2 months in what ever the local nick is then will be moved to a cat b within 6 months (on the protection wing) then after 3 years he will be out. He might even go to a cat c for protection.

There are only a select group of prisons that house sex offenders, so not quite that simple.

Adam Johnson was arrested for possessing images of bestiality on his laptop, it can now be reported.

The former England footballer's phone and laptop were sezied when he was arrested at his home in County Durham in March last year.

The 28-year-old was then re-arrested on suspicion of possessing images of extreme pornography, it can be reported after restrictions were lifted. Johnson was told by police he will face no further action for possessing the pictures.

Johnson also browsed a website called "Nice Young Teens", which featured explicit images but was not deemed to be unlawful, the Guardian's Josh Haliday reported.

That last bit just adds to the pattern of an interest in young girls. At first sight the sentence seemed harsh, but the grooming of the girl and the interest suggest he would be a danger for others.

Slippy slope, one mans girl is another's women.
If someone said to me young girl I wouldn't think of a women over the age of 18. Like it or not looking at a naked person, willing to pose is not illegal or unnatural. Indeed this site has its own section that I'm sure has similar pics, so I'm told.
The language is misleading and most likely deliberately so.
 
Pleased with the sentence, but he'll be out in 2 years,maybe less. Don't care what happens to him now, he will probably play again because like most footballers, they too stupid to do anything else, but it'll be at a league 1 level at best. Thoughts are still with the victim, so young and innocent and probably scarred for life through this experience.
