As expected, going to Hong Kong to open the new stadium there. Awful that it's against arsenal.

We are pleased to announce a men’s first-team fixture against Arsenal in Hong Kong as part of our summer pre-season tour.

The fixture will take place on Thursday 31 July, 2025, at the 50,000-seater Kai Tak Stadium, which opened in March 2025 as the city’s newest iconic sports & entertainment venue.

It is the first time we have played a north London derby outside of the United Kingdom, with the match forming part of the Hong Kong Football Festival 2025 (HKFF).

To be the first to know about ticketing details for this match, sign up here.

Members of the local Tottenham Hotspur Official Supporters’ Clubs will receive an exclusive link to access tickets for the match.

An Open Training session will take place on Tuesday 29 July ahead of the match with ticketing details to follow in due course.

As is Club tradition, players and staff will be engaging with our fans, supporting good causes, and celebrating local culture throughout our time in Hong Kong.

We will also be activating with AIA, the Club’s Global Principal Partner, on the tour as part of its mission to deepen engagement with AIA communities across Asia and promote health and well-being.

Alongside this, the Club’s Global Football Development coaches will deliver our renowned technical programme for local young players and coach education workshops, showcasing the authentic training methods developed within the Club’s Academy, helping young players to reach their full potential.

Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “There are few bigger occasions in English football than a north London derby and to play this fixture in Hong Kong will be a huge occasion for our passionate fanbase across Asia, as well as providing ideal preparation for the team ahead of the new season.

“As is tour tradition, the Club will be involved in so much more than the match itself when we visit, supporting charitable causes, celebrating local culture, delivering football clinics for young people and engaging with fans and partners. We cannot wait to visit such a beautiful place once again.”

Details regarding additional locations on our summer pre-season tour will be announced in due course, along with information about how fans can watch matches and tour content.

Well looks like the net zero stuff has been dumped then.

Because we are going on tour?

Christ you're sharp(ish)

You understand going on tour is part of being a football club?

And there is not a single club in the world that isn't going to tour because of net zero objectives? i.e. don't hold the club to standards no one else in the world is even close to .. and before you go there, the stadium, training ground, even things like water usage at the club is leagues ahead of most clubs in world football already

One last trip with Sonny

We are delighted to announce the Club will be visiting Korea as part of our summer pre-season tour of Asia.

Our Men’s first team will be taking part in the 2025 Coupang Play Series, a tournament organised and promoted by Coupang and Pitch International.

Fixture and ticketing information for the 2025 Coupang Play Series will be announced in due course.

This will be our fifth visit to Korea, where the Club is regarded as the country’s best-supported overseas team. It will also be our third appearance in the Coupang Play Series, having taken part in 2022 and 2024.

As is Club tradition, players and staff will be engaging with our fans, supporting good causes, and celebrating local culture throughout our time in Korea.

We shall be working with AIA, the Club’s Global Principal Partner, as part of its mission to deepen engagement with AIA communities across Asia and promote health and well-being, as well as additional partners in the region such as Alipay+, whose logo will feature on the back of the shirt.

Alongside this, the Club’s Global Football Development coaches will deliver our renowned technical programme for local young players and coach education workshops, showcasing the authentic training methods developed within the Club’s Academy, helping young players to reach their full potential.

We are pleased to confirm that our men’s first team will face Saudi Sportswashing Machine in Korea this summer as part of the 2025 Coupang Play Series.

We announced last week that we’ll be visiting Korea during our pre-season tour of Asia, where we’ll participate in the Coupang Play Series for a third time.

I know it makes more money but I would rather not play a team we play 2 or 3 times every season again on the other side of the world. I'd would be nice to just play a side from the actual city where we are visiting. I guess it's all about commercial growth and giving a chance to attract new fans in other places but still...

Will it be Saudi Sportswashing Machine AND a game against a Korea select XI ?

Couldn't agree more. Playing Premier League teams in pre-season is sacrilegious to me. Even worse that it's arsenal in Hong Kong! However, on this occasion I am actually kind of grateful for it. Will be lots of singing about Bilbao.

(don't get me started on the fact that tickets in the Spurs end cost £150 though)

Unfortunately it's what gets fans going. Get to see a "Premier league game" without having to travel half way around the world.

I would rather see us play local teams as well.
Then play some European teams as we build up.

It's logical that it would be easier to sell, I've been to a bunch of games against local/non-PL teams that have been well attended:

- 80,000 v Sydney FC in 2015 (Sydney)
- 42,000 v Atlético Madrid in 2016 (Melbourne)
- 32,000 v Juventus in 2016 (Melbourne
- 28,000 v Kitchee in 2017 (Hong Kong)
- 25,000 v Lion City Sailors in 2023 (Singapore)
- 55,000 v Vissel Kobe in 2024 (Tokyo)
- 64,000 v Korean All Stars in 2024 (Seoul)

wow - who gets all that money? The hosts or the 2 teams on the pitch?

I used to quite like the International Champions Cup run by the American billionaires. I think every team got thrown into one league and wherever they played their games worldwide it counted. Didn't Spurs win it one year and get the prize money?
