Actor John Heard, most famous for his role as the dad in Home Alone, has died at the age of 72. His IMDB page shows 179 credits as an actor, so definitely someone you will have seen in a lot of things without even realising it.

I did not dislike him at all and as you say he had a influence on lots of music, i was just never a big fan. In other words i have none of his albums and i have a pretty big collection.
