So would this guy start on the right alongside VDV, or effectively be backup to VDV on the left?

    Antonin Kinsky

For me the question is: can we buy a keeper who’s as good with his feet as Kinsky but a proven better shot stopper? If not, I agree with bringing in an experienced safe pair of hands as backup to Kinsky if his shot stopping turns out to be subpar.

I’ve not watched Senesi - how much of an upgrade is he on Danso? In what way?

    ENIC

I don’t necessarily… honestly I have no idea what’s causing the injuries and what will happen next year.

I agree the overall trajectory is downward, but it’s been in two distinct phases - averaging 5th to 6th for five seasons, then suddenly finishing 17th for two. And I think that sudden drop reflects that there have been some very specific circumstances these two seasons, namely insane injuries /...

I don’t think ‘drifting further away from competing every year’ is true. Conte’s first season had us back up in 4th, then Ange’s first had us back up in 5th, and his second had us win the Europa with an injury ravaged squad. And don’t forget we were third in the league with a quarter of this...

    Pedro Porro

You think Spence creates the same number of goals via something other than crosses?

    Kevin Danso

I also think his ability on the ball is really underrated by many - he’s very composed and quite progressive IMO.

    João Palhinha

It’s more that I don’t think playing two out of Bentancur / Palhinha / Gallagher will work very well in the long term - none of them are very progressive passers.

    João Palhinha

I love him, but is there room in the squad for him, Bentancur and Gallagher (plus Sarr, Gray and Bergvall)? None of them very progressive passers.

    Next seasons squad

RW over LW when we already have Kudus coming back? And I wouldn’t mind a new CM but we already have lots of numbers there - who would you be selling or loaning to make space? I also think we need another CB if Romero goes.

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC v Everton, Sun May 24th, 4.00pm, The Lane***

Great to get the home win hoodoo off our back as well before next season. I’m feeling very positive about next season under De Zerbi. Just need a handful of good signings and better luck with injuries.

    Richarlison

In 1848 minutes. In 3000 minutes that would be 18 goals - not bad for a team in 17th.

    Randal Kolo Muani

That’s fair. Though here’s the comparison when they’re starting as a striker - pretty much the same picture (though I appreciate it’s a small sample size for Muani in particular).

    Randal Kolo Muani

For reference here’s Tel too - again clearly better.

    Randal Kolo Muani

Richi is not the same. Here’s a comparison of them from this season, across goals / assists / buildup play: So Richi’s actually tracking at 16 goals and 6 assists if he played 30 x 90 mins - a decent record across a season. Agree his all round play isn’t good enough, but it’s clear he’s...

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United, Mon May 11th, 8pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

Not for me - totally possible that West Ham then beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine and we lose to Chelsea. And we then might have to beat Everton on final day. Things change quickly in football, as we saw to our advantage last weekend.

    Xavi Simons

    A ginormous ‘if’, haha

I mean aren’t we essentially fudged now? Unless Maddison can start playing some minutes and play well? We just have so much of our attack injured it’s a joke.

Why do managers never just seem to play people in their best positions?! Xavi on the left and Gallagher as a 10? 👎🏻 Also don’t know how Bissouma’s getting a start, his heart hasn’t looked in it for a while. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
