    Transfer thread

Anyone else glad the whole thing is over? Lost the will to care the last few days with the amount of rumours going around and the scattergun approach we seemingly took. That's not really a cut at the club, they were doing their job - it's just the scrutiny and coverage it gets is a bit much...

    Mykhailo Mudryk

Have seen nothing from him that’s ever excited me, the recent past would suggest this isn’t a great idea but he deserves a chance and the manager knows him. Strange one but if he can turn it on, I’m sure all will be forgotten.

    Mathys Tel

Character won’t be enough for Tel. He needs to produce on the pitch in terms of goals and assists. I honestly don’t think he’s a million miles from producing that though. The final bit is missing for the most part but you can see he tries things when he gets the ball. He’s tricky and he’s got...

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

To be fair, on here and across social media, I’m seeing a pretty level headed response from Spurs fans with minimal bedwetting. Think there is understanding of where we are and some credit in the bank. How long that holds I’m not sure but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Criticism of RDZ and his...

You better hope he comes soon. No way Danso is sold if Moyes is our manager.

    Mathys Tel

Agree 100% with this. He shouldn’t start but if you’re a 21 year old kid who can keep trying to do your thing when you’ve had a bit of a nightmare and 60,000 are groaning whenever you get the ball, you’re the sort of character I want in the squad.

Will be amazed if Moyes is at Everton for much longer. Seems him and the owners are a million miles apart and have started taking public cuts at each other. When that happens, there is only one winner.

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

Didn't see last week really but he was okay yesterday. Made one great challenge to prevent them going 3 up and, as you say, made some very good forward passes. Him, Tel and Tonali seem to be getting most of the stick at the moment. While I've not been really impressed with JPVH, no more than I...

It's a fudging travesty of a stat that is. Thing is, you half expect to be brick when you first move into a stadium as everyone gets used to it but we didn't have a particularly bad start there. The last two seasons have been so far beyond how bad I ever thought we could be at home.

Yeah it is weird. It’s hard to make comparisons because as undeniably brick as we’ve been in the last two years, I think we were underachieving on an unprecedented scale. Therefore, I’m not sure what par should have been. I know people will say “well, two 17th placed finishes means par was 17th”...

Give it a few years and you can still be a Spurs fan…

I’m not convinced we’ll get top 4 or top 6. I really don’t know what my expectation is. Top 4 feels a massive jump from two 17ths but mid table feels like a poor target after spending the money we’ve spent. I give the board credit but I hope the sustainability of our spending this year (on fees...

We’ve been absolute dogbrick and it’s been a very, very disappointing start to the season. I can’t say I saw this coming and, having endured two seasons of unprecedented brick, it is massively frustrating. However, it’s two games and I can’t make any judgement on two games or even five games. If...

The defence is a worry. Going from a back 4 of Porro, VDV, Romero, Udogie/Spence to Porro, VDV, JPVH, Robertson/Udogie doesn’t look clever at the moment. Throw in Kinsky behind them and I have concerns. What’s Senesi like?

    Mathys Tel

I still think the lad is worth persevering with. Maybe not as a starter but I’d still have him around the first eleven. He had a poor game today no doubt. Unfortunately, the free kick is gif-worthy but it isn’t fair IMO. His first two touches today were poison. Lost it twice. But he kept...

It’s currently transitioning from a “let’s wait and be patient” to overstating how good the lads who aren’t starting are and questioning the managers decisions. Not sure how far we are from “can we get Poch back?” but think that’s the next step in the cycle.

    Kevin Danso

Didn’t realise Danso was HG but, either way, if RDZ has decided VDV, JPVH and Senesi are ahead of him, getting Danso out isn’t a bad thing because he’s too good to be 4th choice. It’ll stop fans claiming he should be playing and it’ll make it easier for RDZ to manage the situation. Don’t have...

    Kevin Danso

I wouldn’t get rid of Danso or Sarr. I’d have Danso over a couple of our other options and he brings something different. I’d have Sarr over Gallagher and Bergvall. However, RDZ needs to shift a couple of foreign players and he’s clearly decided these are the lads to go. He doesn’t want to be...

Looked nervous from the off and overawed. Needs to do a hell of a lot better but I’m sure he will.

Do you know anybody that has stopped supporting Spurs?

You can change your car, you can sell your house, you can quit your job, you can divorce your wife…you can even disown your kids. But if you’re any sort of person, you cannot change your football team or stop supporting them. It’s the only thing in life that’s for life.
