    The Goon Thread

Liew is not a Spurs fan, he's said many times on the Guardian pod he's a gooner. He's a Ronay wannabe, gooner hack who never misses the chance to stick the boot in. One out today I believe.

Dunno what use Arsenal will have for Guimaraes (or even Rogers), all their attackers need to be able to do is punt a ball with remarble consistency to the back post on corners, they have Rice and Saka for that from each side. They just need to buy some more big goons to foul and head in.

    Djed Spence

Don't think we should sell Spence for less than 50m. Good player, still young, think he has at least three years left on the contract?

I agree, it's just Levy was here for so long, it's strange, and often unsettling, having the unknown of the new people.

    J P van Hecke

I remember watching Brighton in their peak under de Zerbi and the passing out of a press was as good if not better than anything I'd even seen from City. I guess he wants to recreate that, I just worry about how we're going to defend corners.

I never thought I'd miss Levy this much (or really at all).

    Luka Vuskovic

Arsenal went through all this with Saliba, ended okay for them.

Maybe we can sell this guy to Brighton for £20m!

Interim Manager Discussion - Igor Tudor joined until end of season

Feels like we've turned into Watford overnight.

Champions League 25/26: Dortmund, PSG, Villarreal, Frankfurt, Slavia, Bodø/Glimt, Copenhagen, Monaco

Starting to feel like we're better in Europe because the aerial and marking weaknesses of our keeper and CBs is less exposed.

The book is so obscure I was wondering if the film was even the same story. You might like Stoner (or might have already read it) as I think it has a similar feel. It has nothing to do with marijuana by the way.

Fantastic book! Surprised to see it pop up on here.

Looks like a young Mark Gatiss.

    Pape Matar Sarr

Also need better second stringers because in current football half or more of your first team is out all the time.

    Conor Gallagher

Hopefully with Gallagher and when Solanke is back up to speed we can high press in the way Frank wants. I generally agree his football has been boring so far but seeing a team move as a pack and strangle the opposition is one of the most exciting things in modern football for me. (this is...

    Pape Matar Sarr

Think we have had a long line of young midfield players Mason, Carroll, Skipp and now it seems Sarr who are all decent but none with the personality (or perhaps vision and intelligence) to dominate a game (which is needed when most teams won't allow us to play on the break against them)...

    Richarlison

This is getting so silly now and it's not just us, teams need a squad of 20 first team quality players because they are overworked to breaking over and over. Can't be right when the minority of players can play a full part in a season. The football 'product' gets worse every season.

    Guglielmo Vicario

Passing to Gray draws in attackers and thus when Gray passes to Romero or VdV they have more time and space.

***Tottenham Hotspur v SK Slavia Praha***

Always love seeing Spence joining in goal celebrations, fully integrated in the team. It's rare for players to find a way back from exile.

Could be a really good player but not happening at the moment. I hope Frank tries VdV at LB until Jan when we do need to buy a new one.
