I think one of him or Solanke goes. I can see Villa being interested in either player, especially if Watkins ends up leaving.

If Pep was still there, I think you would definitely be correct with that assumption, but there are a lot of questions around City under Maresca and their style of play in particular. We are obviously a club on the ascendancy with a manager who seems to be respected a lot more inside the game...

This. Every single one of our summer transfers has PL experience. Now consider this with how it took Xavi half a season to get acclimatized to the PL last year which ultimately equates to points lost, and we know now how important every single point is at the end of the season.

United, Chelsea and Liverpool all have defensive concerns heading into the season. City still need fullbacks and Aston Villa will struggle to score goals.

Agree. There is blood in the water and now is the time to be brave and back the man they invested heavily in to do the job. The financial infrastructure is in place and being London-based we must be one of the most desirable sporting assets in Europe for any potential investors/buyers. The LA...

So this wasn’t a endless time loop we were all co-existing in! Now it’s finally done (or about to be), I feel better about this deal than before. Young, exciting, PL experienced and most importantly wants to join us. I’m sure he would have been receiving interest from other clubs but it never...

That sounds like something one of my Sunday league teammates would’ve written about me 15 years ago.

    ***Tottenham v Brentford OMT***

I think Brentford may be the surprise team this season. They had an excellent summer with little turnover, most notably potentially upgrading midfield (Sangare for Henderson), still have an excellent CF, solid back line and are going into Season Two under Andrews while several of their mid-table...

I never want to see him befoul our glorious shirt after this incident. He’s a thug of a player. All physicality and not much else. A poor man’s Brobbey (who I also never want to see play for us).

I’m a big Mitoma fan. Unfortunately he’s had several injury issues over the past couple seasons but on his day is a real difference maker. Would love him on a free next summer.

    Archie Gray

Players are not positions. I think it’s fairly obvious Gray will move into a midfield position when we are in possession, and back to RB when out of possession. It’s more important for him to have regular minutes on the pitch than it is for him to play occasionally in his preferred position imo.

It’s tough to identify an RDZ style for CF as he hasn’t had a notable one that I’m aware of. Not at BHA or Marseille. He has developed excellent wide players though in Greenwood and Mitoma. Personally (and completely unqualified) I think he would like two options…one being a big box presence...

Genuine question because you’ve expressed concern about JPVH’s defensive abilities several times… How much have you watched him at BHA? They are the only other team I watch as they were my local team growing up and I have enjoyed their football under Potter, RDZ and now Huerzler. While he...

Not being good enough to displace Haaland is not a slight on anyone not named Kane or Mbappe.

This. It will allow City to go after Fernandes and possibly Neto. Chelsea need to sell big to stay PSR compliant, especially after the Rogers transfer.
