***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v The Garibaldis (will Marinakis eat his own club with a cuppa?), Sat Sept 5th, City Ground, 3pm***

Hear me when I say. This is the result of terrible terrible planning and prep. Game 3 and Tel and Gallagher are still starting when £350 mil has been spent. This is poor from RDZ also. I don’t rate Solanke but he’s got to be better than Tel and Gallagher, with Marmoush then dropping into their...

Lots of of people thinking it will automatically be Tonali and Fernandes in the midfield with a natural 10 in front. RDZ made it pretty clear Lolo is his most important midfielder at the moment. Be interesting to see how that pans out. I suspect: If he wants to control a game, we’ll continue...

    Johan Lange - Sporting Director

Interesting point about the midfield. I listened very carefully to yesterday’s presser regarding Fernandes, Tonali and Lolo. Clearly RDZ thinks Lolo is undroppable and he almost intimated that he is shoe horning Fernandes into the 10 at the moment. That won’t last once one of the proper 10s is...

Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

Was talking to my son about this at Saturdays game. With a midfield 3 of Bents, Fernandes and Tonali you will control a lot of football matches. But you need a potent front 3 to execute amongst themselves. Think back to Liverpool during the Salah, Firminho, Mane. They had 3 engines in...

Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

Back up to who? If we had a new striker I could see Marmoush first choice left. But we don’t, we have Solanke, so really need Marmoush there for now.

    Iliman Ndiaye

So Richarlison refusing to go meant we pulled out rather than him actually picking City. Guess we could have just used cash….

    Iliman Ndiaye

I think it’s fair to offer up a smidge of criticism without being labelled a cry baby etc. The window’s been open for weeks and closes in 1 day. We’ve had two league games with reserve attacks (apart from Marmoush) and haven’t scored a goal, and only added to our attack this week. If we...

    Iliman Ndiaye

Considering lack of European football it’s a good list isn’t it.

Can also enjoy some more Agbonlahor seething.

    Iliman Ndiaye

Imagine Ndiaye receiving the ball as many times as Tel did yesterday in the positions he did….

    Iliman Ndiaye

But Ndiaye left and Marmoush 10 or 9 still works. If you add Kudus and Savinho I can see them all moving around during games. You can never have too many good players!

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

He done a lot of good things yesterday actually. Lots of clever line breaking passes out from the back - which we did ok with but would do much better with good wide players. I also looked at the goals - neither were his fault. I know there are often spacegoats in these situations but I’d...

I saw it a bit differently. I thought Tonali did ok and showed some signs of a high quality player. Not having any competent players ahead apart from Marmoush won’t help. Marmoush showed lots of positive bits, driving away from players on multiple occasions. Again - not helped by the crap...

We’ve also spent £220m on three number 8s since Jan. We already had about 5 and haven’t shifted any of them. Yet we are letting games take place with Tel and Porro in the forward line. I’m again left calling out the football operations leaders. Fail to prepare….

We’ve fielded a team that doesn’t carry a goal threat. If you put 2 competent wide players in this team today we win. The midfield did enough and Tel and Porro saw plenty of the ball.

On Savio….is any other club using ‘Muscle fatigue’ as a thing?

2 attackers, an 8 in the 10, and a RB at right mid. You’re certainly more optimistic than me.

My biggest worry here is lack of tactical thinking. If we push bodies up but don’t have the personnel to create or do anything and lose it, it will play into the hands of Elanga, Barnes and Wissa. Saying that, I’m really not sure what the game plan is.
