    problem with the on target' stat is that a daisy cutting dribble shot straight at the keeper is 'on target' but a shot that beats the keeper but inches wide of the post (or even hits the post I believe) is not, yet is actually a better effort.

    Just rewatched the early MoTD highlights as I didn't pick up Williams reaction after the goal was disallowed. he obviously knew it had hit his hands yet still went away celebrating. 2 game suspension for deceiving the ref isn't it for that?
