He's not a cut in and shoot type winger. He's playmaker type. Playing him on the right just forces to constantly do something he's not actually good at. He will shoot more often and actually play good passes into the striker if he plays on the left.

Why do we refuse to play Savio on his best side. 😑

Solanke no shots, no attempted shots, no almost shots. Just nothing.

Hmm I slightly disagree. I think the football is quite positive until the final 3rd, and even then around the box the patterns are decent. It's just we have no actual 10 or striker. Those two issues are killing our threat.

Marmoush is trying a little too hard. You can see he really wants a goal and to get going.

Imagine. That's how bad Solanke is. What I find amusing is that whichever one of them plays we yearn for the other one. Tells you everything about the pairs lack of quality.

Nah, let's not do that. If it stays like this and Maddison can muster 45 mins. Bring him on move Marmoush up top and let Maddison play the 10.

Robertson is so much more effective offensively in comparison to Udogie it does give food for thought. I do like Udogie but hevhas very poor delivery and passing. I can see a world where we move him on in the summer and bring Souza back who is much more in the mould of Robertson in terms of...

This is known. This is why I don't want to play him despite the other issues we have.

I know we are playing some form of total football but Solanke did a neat lay off and then just stayed on the wing and watched Savio drive into the box. He had no interest or desire to get himself into the box and maybe into a goal scoring position.

Solanke could be rusty but he just looks the same robotic non agile player he's always looked for us. There's no litheness to him.

Gray needs to be more aware defensively, seemed to be surprised there was a player running on the inside of him

Might suit him more than CM does tbh. CM I don't know if he has enough, but breaking into midfield from the FB positions might suit him. Fernandes isn't an a natural 10. You can see why he's dropped back down into midfield. You need that killer instinct when in those positions to make it as an AM.

If Johnson dribbles past him even once we should rip up his contract. 😆

Gray feeling himself there, taking the shot on with his left. I like the confidence.
