    Sorry buy Savio is not undoubted quality - he has it all to prove in this league. Marmoush, better, but still only has one standout season to his name in his career at 27 years old.

    Xavi is mooted to be back in the spring, which essentially rules him out as a concern this season. I doubt Kulusevski will have much if any impact for a good long while - Maddison being injured straight away doesn't fill me with confidence with him either. No idea on Odobert Tel Savio Solanke...

    Dunno about weaker but i don't think the needle has moved much despite the high number of transfers in - central midfield being the exception, Fernandez looks a great signing and Tonali is an improvement on our other options even if nowhere near a 100m pound player.

    I doubt he's being offered less at Everton. I don't think he's on a particularly high wage here. Most likely imo he's being corralled in to a deal that suits the club but might not be what he wants as a priority

    Dunno if it's the manager - i know he said he wanted out publicly but Richy seems more angry with the way the transfer was handled, which would be higher than the manager - maybe we accepted the offer from Everton before discussing it with the player or rejected other bids because this one...

    Or we needed to raise the funds to do so. It was noticeable how activity slowed down until we moved on Romero & Spence recently - Gakpo/Ndiaye deal was probably reliant on further outgoings
