Interesting. Would love him to succeed but can’t see it at LW. Not sure I can see him doing well up front, but Solanke is a bust at this point so can’t be any worse.

Probably get slated, but Mudryk is a decent punt imo…but only if it’s a loan with option. If we missed out on our targets then better to keep the money, we can then see how everything gels and buy players we know will fit in. Mudryk will mean we don’t have to play Tel, he will have so much to...

+ every single time they lose the ball they either dive or feign injury and often get the free kick. Imagine Hull or Coventry (or us) doing that, wouldn’t get a single one.

GHod Villa are as bad as us going forward. 3 vs 2 then…

Gillette is such a terrible referee He was always going to give that penalty and just waited to make it look he was thinking about it. Not even in the box you taco.

They look pleasantly poor. Regardless of the result tonight I don’t think their “bore everyone to death then score from a rugby corner” tactic will work this year.

Are you not impressed by a routine save from a header that he still palmed out into the 6-yard box?

    Kevin Danso

Is it possible to have a non-concrete possibility? Wouldn’t that be “no chance”.

    Kevin Danso

No, a factor of many things lead to us staying us. But without him our defence looked more porous, so likelihood is we would have conceded more goals. Think if that was the case we’d have gone down even with improvements elsewhere.

    Kevin Danso

I felt we only stayed up because because Romero was injured and Danso played brilliantly most of the time.

Same. Prob see Danso + an another leave and then those funds will cover the Ndiaye deal, leaving us with the cash for a striker.

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

Exactly. It’s two games, with lots of new signings that aren’t fully bedded in yet. Back in the day it was embarrassing if anyone cared about the league table up until 4-5 games. Nowadays it’s knee jerk city (mostly started by the media)

    Cody Gakpo

I agree. If we’re spending £85m we need an out and out centre forward. We’d have won today’s match if we had an 8/10 striker

xG 1.0 - 0.75 Lose 0-2 Sums up the match really. Thought we played well in midfield, just no striker and can always let in a soft goal.

Thought we’ve been good, lots of positives. But no cutting edge will always bite you in the ass at this level.

Marmoush looks great already. Seems very calm every time he’s had the ball
