    I think a main issue was the suspicion that he would not sign an extension so we would need to sell him next year; when he would not likely have increased in value from the current level. As for the level of the fee... it is what - if we are lucky - we will get for Romero, an experienced world...

    Last year he played - in a back 3 - in a team which was defending most of the time. With a low block, pace is not paramount. Will be very interesting to see how he does in the premier where pace is the be all and the end all.....
