    Luka Vuskovic

I suppose a big enough sale could enable one more player in who can make immediate impact, if we don't believe Vuskovic can yet. BUt a player being sold to Brighton is simply moving on in a few years for more money so we don't let him go on the cheap without a sell-on clause, especially not...

    Savinho

That's as maybe - though we don't know the minutiae behind various failed deals. What we do know is that 3 ins have been quickly confirmed this summer for the new manager and there are further promising names mooted in public.

    Antonin Kinsky

    Well well well

    Savinho

For all we know the delay may be down to Emirates Marketing Project wanting to ensure they have a squad replacement lined up for him before they give the greenlight. Or just fine detail confirmation about the nature of certain clauses even though a headline figure has been broadly agreed

I would love it if Lankshear impresses enough in pre-season to be kept as back-up. And then develops sufficiently under De Zerbi to be considered a starting option in 2027/28, or even the tail end of this season. Much like another English front man for us over a decade ago. No pressure Will!

I thought he wanted to join Man Utd. But if we truly are after two quality midfielders that is further fuel to belief in De Zerbi effecting something special very quickly. Perhaps we could look at Wharton... But could spell the end for Bergvall

    Jan Paul van Hecke

De Zerbi did specifically talk about how Senesi allows flexibility in our formation. One can reasonably assume that Van Hecke doesn’t impede that thought. You make a solid point about Lange and he certainly deserves credit for whatever part he has played in a hugely promising start to the summer

Let’s see who else we sign and also whether there’s a formation change or tactical shift introduced over summer by De Zerbi. And I personally still have faith in Solanke to be the point of the spear for goal scoring.

Especially considering Van Dijk will be waning further in the next year or two

One write-up said it’s a 20% sell-on clause against any profit we make in a sale (as opposed to the whole amount)

    Will Lankshear

He has a few years left on his contract and I read we turned down a £15 million January bid from Middlesbrough. I make you right about that level of loan, or to a team promoted to the Prem. That’ll determine whether he has a future with us

Signings like this will see us challenging for the top 6 with De Zerbi. Believe! 😀

    Jan Paul van Hecke

I’m excited by what this signing means. The manager is being backed, and quickly, to get the players in that he wants. There’s no other reason, knowing the player had chosen us, for the transfer to be done now rather than after the World Cup

Perisic is just so sharp. One of the huge what ifs for Spurs is how we’d have done if he’d not been crippled for a year with us

Exciting start to the Arg-Alg game. Two tight offsides indicating we could have an open match with a good score (please)
