World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Hardly surprising, when you're accustomed to Superlager or Breaker that stuff is going to be like tinkle water.

Just to make it more interesting I think I'll start a Party, following the current theme I'll call it Regret.

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

We almost certainly would not have, a combination of others failing, Poch and our best team in many years all fell into place. Although I would say that city and Chelsea sort of replaced utd and arsenal post Fergie and we get. When those richer clubs are at their peak it's a huge mountain for...

I never said it was. There was 20 odd years between Liverpool and arsenals recent and historic titles. Was that a lack of ambition?

Yes phases, every club goes through them and they are also relative to what goes on around them. Would arsenal have won the PL if city weren't rebuilding and Liverpool collapsed, Chelsea weren't a total basket case. Personally I can't see it. Arsenal positioned themselves to take advantage...

VVD is mentioned a lot in these conversations, what about the lad they signed from Germany that was going to dominate midfield for years, keita (?) something like that. Spent a fortune on him, played less and done less than ndombele. There is no guarantees, these clubs can afford to write off...

Stretching it a bit with arsenal there. I think it's fair to say that under wenger at the end the board were not really backing him. They never backed emery, yes they've backed Arteta and yes two can be considered multiple trophies, but six years apart and almost £1b to achieve them.

In comparison to Russian mafia and literally countries with money to burn we were Mr byrite. Levy, for better or worse, ran the club on the finances the club had, not on the finances the supporters wanted him to.

The Game Is About Glory Podcast

I watched that at work this afternoon, it's a joy. Much like @thfcsteff I remember that game well and was gutted at the result. Brazil then reminds me of the Bobby Jones quote about Jack nicklaus, "playing an entirely different game, and one I'm not familiar with." They moved different, they...

And the last transaction between the two clubs was us buying one of their best players who went on to help us win a trophy.

Or go to a club that is effectively holding a player with one year on his contract hostage. And if Van hecke doesn't leave it's less playing time for your client. I don't think this is anything other than Brighton playing silly beggars, but in a usual spurs style the fans and media are falling...

If Brighton is the best move he can get one of the most sought-after young players in Europe then I think his agent is doing a terrible job.

He needs to understand that we under going to be under huge scrutiny next season, now is not the time for experiments. It's not good for us or him.

Totally agree, and we should be doing everything we can to keep him and keep him happy. Not however at the cost of another poor season by playing a youth player. He has youth on his side, we can't afford another bottom half finish lol

Brighton can afford to play him and have an "off" season, we can't. If we'd finished in European places then we could find him games and even test him in the PL. Our last two seasons have destroyed any chance we had of that. We need proven ability.
