    Pedro Porro

Comparing Comparing Spence and Porro offensive numbers is a bit of a disingenuous take. You do know Spence has played the majority of his games on the wrong side and not his primary position? Why would he have good numbers when he's doing a job and filling in for us. Let Spence play on the...

    Pedro Porro

You're right his mentality is fantastic and I have credited him with that in past comments on him (just missed it in this one).

    Antonin Kinsky

He's not done more than enough, you're jumping the gun a bit. If he does start next season as our No1 it's a bit of a gamble and it might be one that pays off but 5 games isn't enough to prove his suitability long term when even in our previous match he demonstrated his prime weakness. If...

    Antonin Kinsky

I would shoot at Kinsky, he has shown a habit for not diving fully for shots. He seems to be working on that but it's not wrong to identify that as a weakness up till now.

    Pedro Porro

Ok not sure what you mean by better player. Is Spence better offensively? It's debatable, Spence is better on the ball in terms of attacking and beating the opposition defender. He's more secure in the ball and can genuinely dribble something Porro cannot do. Porro has the advantage in crossing...

    Next seasons squad

Players that's I would happily keep Kinsky Danso Spence (I'd liked to see him playing some games at RB) Bergvall (young potential but needs development) Gray (likewise with Bergvall although I think he's somewhat overrated on here already) Simmons (just signed and injured) Sarr (although the...

    Next seasons squad

It's a truthful statement. None of this accepting the trash we already have nonsense. He's seen where we are and why and what's to address it.

    Antonin Kinsky

Can't say I've seen him play honestly, he's highly rated though I believe?

    Next seasons squad

Can play, but not play well. We need a starting quality LWF for next season. Going into that season with the frankly options we had these season would be foolhardy. On the right we at least have the prospect of a fit Kudus and Odobert who offer quality there.

    Antonin Kinsky

Great save at the end from him. Good concentration considering he didn't have a lot to do today. I'm in two minds whether we should get the 1st team shirt next season or if we should go for a 1st team goalkeeper and have them fight it out.

    Randal Kolo Muani

Is it that he dribble in open space ie. being able to shimmy left or right but that's not the same type of movements necessary to dribble on the wing. I'm not saying he couldn't do a job there, he potentially could but his dribble style doesn't exactly fit the mould of what a wide needs to do to...

    Richarlison

4 if the 11 ahead him aren't even strikers, it's not a stat to crow about.

    Richarlison

But he wouldn't get 18. We saw this two years ago when he scored 8 in 9 games, people extrapolated that rate and argued he just needed more minutes. Yet predictably, the more he actually plays, the more his stats drop. His scoring rate doesn't scale up with more game time; it falls off.

    Richarlison

Hah. I faced the reality of our squad a looooong time ago and I've been telling everyone how poor it was and how it was getting worse season after season for years at this point. This comment from you is actually fudging hilarious. I don't think you know who you're responding to. 🤣🤣🤣 I have no...

    Djed Spence

I do actually agree but there often intangibles and not being in the correct space that learnt to play your role in might well be affecting his positional and defensive sense. I'll be the first to criticise him if he's playing on the right and make those kind of mistakes and or poor decisions.

    Djed Spence

Whilst out of potion on the left. If we see him playing a significant amount of minutes in the right and he still falls foul of the same problems then we can really judge. As it stands we really only ever see him on the wrong side, so we do have to caveat those performances.
  17. Bishop

    Richarlison

It's not relative, he's not good enough, actually bone of our strikers are good enough unless relegation battles is what you enjoy?
  18. Bishop

    Randal Kolo Muani

There is the caveat that both Richy and Tel are playing in positions they prefer whereas Muani isn't. I'm not sure it would make that much of a difference ho early but we do need to compare oranges with oranges.

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea, Tue May 19th, 8.15pm, Stamford Bridge ***

I actually think players should be penalised at corners for dragging players down even if it's down whilst the ball isn't in play. It removes this great area and the frankly ridiculous grabbing that happens so often at corners.

I'm not arguing it was in or out of okay just the rationale. To me it should be really easy for VAR to check when the incident started versus whether the ball was in play or not.
