    5.7km from Vicario…?

    Lucas Bergvall

Nothing since May on Lucas! Thought he was very good today - such class on the ball, mixed with powerful running. Not a no.10 in my book, but think he is already good enough to be the starting no.8 for us (rotating with Sarr).

    Richarlison

That’s 18 goals and 8 assists in 3077 PL minutes with us - pretty good return.

I’m at the game and there’s been a few times Johnson was on for the pass and Spence hasn’t made it. GHod the atmosphere is toss too.

    Rodrigo Bentancur

Couldn’t agree more with all of that.

I’d like to see the penalty rules changed so that once the whistle goes the keeper can come off his line. Sick of seeing these stupid run ups with, doesn’t feel at all like a natural part of the game. Or there’s a whistle for the taker, then soon after for the keeper. Like Gladiators :D

For me he’s better than Udogie. Superb player.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I really liked how we mixed up the very aggressive pressing and the deeper defending. It was always one or the other - no half way house.

    Pape Matar Sarr

Wow what a fantastic performance. I was starting to worry he’d reached a plateau, and that Bergvall had rapidly surpassed him. But he seems to have reached another level defensively. Can see him being a fantastic asset in games like this where we’re defending, pressing, and hitting on the break.

    Morgan Gibbs-White

Sure but he averaged more assists than goals - 8-9 vs 5-6. So I’m just questioning GB’s comparison to Alli, whose biggest strength was always goals.

    Morgan Gibbs-White

MGW scores 5-6 goals on average - hardly a ‘goalscoring type’.

    Morgan Gibbs-White

Also I don’t watch much non-Spurs football these days, so have no opinion on MGW. But his stats from last season are interesting - read closer to a no.8 than a pure no.10, though I know he played no.10 on paper: For those who’ve seen him a lot, any chance he shifts to no.8 for us?

    Morgan Gibbs-White

I’m definitely surprised with this one. As others have alluded to, that’s MGW / Maddison / Kulu for #10. Obviously Kulu can play wide too, but then we have Johnson and Kudus already there. Not to mention Son, Tel and Odobert for the left too. Can’t fit all of them in the CL squad. Will be...

    Mohammed Kudus

To be fair we bought the likes of Ndombele, Vicario and Maddison even earlier than this in the past.

GB’s never let facts get in the way of his point of view! :D

    Son Heung-Min

I just don’t like the idea of him interfering with Tel and Odobert’s development, especially as one of them will have to miss out on the CL squad. Love the guy but was hoping he’d bow out on a high.

    The "DM" thread

Personally I’m happy with Bentancur and Gray as our two no.6s. Think a lot of people underrate Bentancur defensively.
  18. E

    Son Heung-Min

To be fair he also got 6 PL assists for us in 15 x 90 mins, which always gets overlooked. That’s a good return.

    Luka Vuskovic

From my point of view no harm in loaning Phillips - even if we eventually sell him, we might get more for him after a further loan. He’s still young.

    Luka Vuskovic

I feel pretty sure Davies will go, and Vuskovic or Phillips will stay in the first team squad until Dragusin is back. Then they’ll maybe go on loan for second half of season.
