    Completely outnumbered, we have 2 they have 4 if not 5. Reminds of the days of Conte when we lost every single midfield battle we played. Thats the nature of 3 at the back for me, you're always outnumbered in the critical zone.

    This game may well end just as tightly and besides we did square root of fudge all in that game in an offensive sense and that was with an incredibly attack focused coach. I don't think the issue is really the approach against Arsenal but the gulf in class.

    Its like people don't remember the last 3 games against Arsenal with a more attacking manager. We got nothing out of those games either and the last one looked like this except we didn't really have a defensive structure in mind.

    When we build from the back we seem to be lacking midfield option to pass too, we end up hitting a lot of speculative passes sort of into no mans land and hope someone picks it up.

    I did think of them as I typed, I guess the concern is would they be defensively sound enough to play that role right now? Sarr maybe, Bergvall I don't think so. I think we'd need Romero to play the forward sweeper role instead of using a DM.

    Its hard to play, the right players are quite rare, we don't have them, especially not midfield, you need real all rounders and we don't really have that.

    This is usually what happens when you play 3 CBs, its why i don't l like it as a system.
