    Whenever we do have the ball the pattern is so obvious, especially in midfield. Pass, control, move it 2 inches look, then pass slowly sideways, control, move it two inches, look then pass it slowly backwards, control, get pressed lose the ball. The pattern is repetitive.

    He's not, in the sea of mediocrity of last season he was a bright spark but I think that brightness was somewhat over egged if we are honest. It's like the Barcelona thing, he wouldn't get into their team in the first place.

    Porro has never convinced against anyone with a modicum of pace or trickery, I really like his on the ball work usually but it's not a balanced output. He does need to be more secure defensively in the long run as his offensive output doesn't really compensate imo.

    One of the issues with Bergvall is he does lose the ball a hell of a lot. Sometimes unfairly but it's something we have admit happens a bit often for our liking.

    I have the pleasure of being able to watch this one today. He's also picked the midfield that many want, although some might have preferred Gray over Sarr. Let's see if going back to basics works.

    He's probably not clear on his 11 because it's not really working. We did try a fairly set approach at the start of the season with mixed results. I think that's subsequently led on to him trying various things to try and get the choir to sing in tune which comes across as incessant tinkering...
