    2025/26 pre-season

I know how this works. I say the names and then everyone provides reasons outside our frugalness of why we didn’t sign them. Let’s just say if we really wanted to we could have been far more active. And even if it wasn’t going to be the high tier players we should have had others in by now.

    2025/26 pre-season

Agree. Bayern’s quality covers up our shortfalls. We may churn out enough points per game to keep our head above water but there is absolutely nothing to fear when looking at our team. It’s a top half side at best. There were players available that would have kept Levy to his word about...

    2025/26 pre-season

I knew that response would come and I’m not really buying it. We have a massive game in 9 days. We should be going in ready. Part of the problem is….after Son’s departure we don’t really have a recognised first choice left winger/left forward.

    2025/26 pre-season

Do we? We have 2 young left wide players, both deemed inferior to Johnson today. We have Kudus who fingers crossed will be good. Then we have Kulu as back up right who will need to play lots of minutes central. It’s so thin on quality.

It’s difficult to know who those players are outside of 2 or 3 at the back.

Wow…why!? Hopefully Frank is a quick learner.

    So even worse….Johnson was left!?

    2025/26 pre-season

Assume Kudus was left today…. So he’s still starting Kudus left (where we have 2 other players - one just signed) and Johnson right (where Kudus does his best stuff). Many will say it’s just pre season but this is the last game before our first competitive game and 9 days from the league and...

    Transfer thread

I’m starting to really appreciate how important the win over Utd was in terms of this coming season and attracting players. Just Mbuemo, Cunha and Sesko for them….

    James Maddison

I like Grealish but it would be back to signing a player whose career curve is on a downward trajectory. We really should be looking at players moving in the opposite direction. It would literally be a stop gap plaster imo.

    James Maddison

Said it many times over the last 2 seasons. All of our good periods in games were when Maddison was playing well. It wasn’t always consistent but he influenced the correct end of the pitch regularly. Thats a lot of goals leaving the squad inside 48 hours. We must act now to replace.

    James Maddison

Extremely limited footballer on the creativity side. Essentially a hard working presser who pops up with some goals. Our fans would realise very quickly if they watched him week to week.

    Exactly. We need more.

If that’s our middle of the park then my ticket might go on the exchange a fair bit. Joking obvs but with Solanke up top that will be eye bleeding stuff for a team with Levy’s ambitions.

But he’s been signed to play right so let’s not compensate. He could have a big ceiling on the right. Didn’t get to see it much at West Ham due to Bowens form. We can’t rely on Johnson. He’s a good goal poacher but offers little creativity.

    James Maddison

Is that you Daniel? We’re in 4 competitions. Kulu will take a while to get back to his best. We can’t rely on people ‘covering’. Need to go big imo.

OMT: Spurs v Saudi Sportswashing Machine - Sonny's Farewell

We already needed another in that area. That looks a bad one, so arguably need 2 now.

OMT: Spurs v Saudi Sportswashing Machine - Sonny's Farewell

Odobert and Kudus will be the ones getting us off our seats. If they have some end product they will quickly become first choice either side.

Better than all of our left forwards(?) and yet we just signed one for £40m….

Not much quality in dangerous areas.
