    Eberechi Eze

Not a yes/no answer here. On PL pedigree Eze all day long. He's a game changer, a rare quality these days. But Kudus showed a lot of quality in his first season with WHam before having a relatively poor campaign last season. He is also coming into a position where we are lacking. So you would...

Shame I think he is, as shown in the Europa League campaign, a decent player.

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

I'll be clear, I would have been the same towards Biss. This is not a partisan issue. I don't disagree, in principle, with wait until the court case but - 1) this is also a workplace issue, allegations of this sort would result in Police officers being taken off public facing duties, I suspect...

    That's pretty damning on Arsenal.

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

People are put on remand often in the same prisons as those actually convicted, before going to trial. So putting someone on gardening leave on full pay while very serious allegations are being investigated is hardly trampling on their human rights. And this innocent until proven guilty point is...

    The Goon Thread

I don't disagree with the principle of innocent until proven guilty. But I agree with @Glenda's Legs response above. In many jobs you are precluded from working if you are under investigation for a serious crime.

Given the allegations Yes. Emirates Marketing Project did it with Mendy didn't they and Everton with Siggurdson. For 2 reasons mainly 1) it's the right thing to do 2) the reputational damage from not doing so would be huge.

Sorry @Glenda's Legs just seen we have posted similar messages. Although yours is more articulate.

    The Goon Thread

With allegations this serious, from 3 different women, with an investigation that has been taking place for nearly 4 years, he should be nowhere near the first team imho. The PL's big campaign at the moment? Ironically "Tackling violence against women and girls." I agree that they can't sack...

I doubt they would have charged him if they didn't have a strong case? Very rarely are cases water tight. You obviously seem to have some inside knowledge of this so I can't really argue with the reason you've given. But it does seem strange. Has he been charged and released on Police bail?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c39zr7y9ep3o Wow his contract runs out and then he is charged with rape. Meanwhile Arsenal played him throughout the time he was under investigation. Talk about the opposite of setting an example against violence to women and girls.

    Eberechi Eze

I love Madders, probably my favourite player. His edginess and will to win on the pitch is something we need going forward. I like Eze but I see them as having different strengths. Both could be accommodated at Spurs especially with the injuries we seem to get in that number 10 position.

    Eberechi Eze

If we signed Eze, then all 3 number 10s would offer something different imho

João Pedro another addition. Fudge me I can't stand that club and it's shenanigans.

I like Eze, but Wharton is the player who has no real equivalence in our squad imho. A player who could be a lot like Michael Carrick.

Unlike Poch's team though, they are building up their quality slowly. Each season improving their team a bit more. The striker thing though is baffling.

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

The point I was trying to make is that although there are some similarities in our quest to win our trophies, the situations are not really comparable as the EL trophy is not on the same level as as the PL one. I agree that that the answers would be no and no. And I think that practically...

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

I agree with a lot of that mate. I don't think the Europa League win is being belittled by most though. But rather put in its context in the discussion around where it fits in terms of keeping Ange or sacking him.

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

If Spurs had done a Liverpool and won the PL in the same way Pool did, would Ange have lost his job? Would there have been such a split about him amongst the fan base?

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

I think it's more simple than that; we were so inept in the League, so lacking in preparation, organisation and desire, it naturally makes one question the quality of the tournament we won. Especially when the equally inept Utd were our opponents in the final. Now for me that doesn't affect the...
