It's all a balance. One of the reasons they're able to create as they do and keep the ball as they do is the extra non-striker in the team. They can't have both.

Makes a lot of sense, they are usually far more reliable that just about anything but tidal power in terms of renewables. Shame we don't really have the geographical features to do a lot of that. Where we do have them, people tend to want to preserve the natural side of things.

That's currently the best large scale storage available. Problem is, it's only around 60% efficient at best (at least last time I read anything about it). It also relies on having the correct geographical features available and in the right scale.

Really? No large, unpopulated areas where they could install wind farms? No large, flat plains to capture the wind from the Atlantic? How about a landscape that allows for a large, hydroelectric backup that would cover most of their needs when it isn't windy?

Those are lovely (but naive) aspirations. For many, simply teaching them to read the safety signs on a building site and not die in their first week on the job is a challenge

That's the longer term result of dismantling grammar schools. The flip side of a better academic education for those more suited to it is a more relevant education for those not.

Imagine the fudging horror of constituency surgeries, having to listen to Doris complaining about her neighbour's wall whilst you know there is real work you could be doing elsewhere. There isn't a salary on earth that could make me sit through that brick.

If we want better MPs then we need to pay them accordingly. There's no way you will get a competent and ambitious person to do the job for £94k - especially not in the South East. What you get, is narcissistic people who do it for the recognition or the ability to sell off titles for comfy...

    OMT - The Sh1tmunchers Derby

I don't think it was nearly as bad as everyone seems to think. It was a horrible match, bored the brick out of me but the performance isn't being viewed in context. This was their cup final. They'll never play as well as they do in that match - it was peak West Ham. They were playing their...
