    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton - Sunday 6 October at 4.30 pm **

We shouldn’t need to score 3 to win a game against Brighton

    Luka Vuskovic

Yes of course he is, as a pure defender from memory I would probably go with Cannavaro but they were completely different style of players. Incidentally I remember talking to some Italians at the time and they reckoned that while Baresi was very good, he wasn’t as good as Scirea! Edit: Apologies...

Obviously I’ve gone off Conte big time but I’d say he’ll win the league comfortably with Napoli this season. Not in Europe either so they’ll have a clear run at it.

I’m not sure even Baresi is the best CB the world has seen since Baresi.

Why do we always seem to need someone to hate.

    Lucas Bergvall

What impresses me most is the way he shapes himself to receive the ball to give himself more space and time. He shows a real awareness of what’s going on around him. He’s got serious potential.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

It’s easier to buy in to this system when you have the best players and you know that the opposition are less likely to hurt you if you lose the ball. Our current team doesn’t have that reassurance.

OMT: Might Spurs v Coventry Wednesday 18 September, kick-off 8pm

Results are the only thing that will buy him space. And as bad as the performance was, at least tonight was a good result. But once discontent becomes widespread (and it’s brewing already), 3 or 4 bad results in a row will sink him.

I’m fully behind him but there’s a nagging sense that this is going to go downhill very quickly.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Because it’s Poch. Some people on here think he was manager of season last year because he took a £1 billion squad to the.. eh European conference league.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Revisionism at its best (or worst). How did he cost us? We were totally clueless for the whole second half is what I remember. Nobody to blame but ourselves. It was the turning point of the Poch era imo.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I think you’re wrong! No, the fans don’t haul the manager into an office and hand him his cards but in every case you mentioned (apart from Poch) the sacking was widely expected and I would say the majority were in favour and the atmosphere (which the fans have huge influence on) reflected that...

I think Kane would’ve hit at least the same numbers as Haaland - and probably more - in that team.

Just get him off the books and move on.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Everton FC ***

I think he gives us something different and there aren’t many players like him around. There’s been some negativity towards him of late but I would hate to see him being let go.

OMT * Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City *

Absolutely. Wasn’t that the consensus when we hired Ange, that if we fail at least we’re going to fail while staying true to the spirit of the club. We’ve had our fill of “pragmatists” for a while.
