But win and he returns in a far better mood. At least they don't have the 3rd place playoff.

    ENIC

It's almost 20 years since they poached Arnesen. Chelsea could use someone like him to sort out transfers more than they need some to get naming rights for a new stadium they don't have.

    AFCON 2023

The goalscorer got booked for removing his shirt and will miss the semifinal. Why do footballers feel to compelled to do this? You don't see it in any other sport.

Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

Seems the clear out this summer might be more extensive. Van Dijk, Salah and TAA all will have one year left on their contract. Klopp's announcement looks like causing them trouble. They don't want to unsettle the clubs of managers they want (e.g. Alonso), but without the manager being decided...

    FA Cup 23/24

He was asked if it felt different going to the ground today. He answered that he'd known about his decision for some time, so no. At least the Wolves-West Brom fans have saved us half an hour of the Klopp love-in.

Yes I can see Alonso being conflicted. It is surely a job he would want at some time, but he'd be torn by the thought of bailing on Leverkusen when he is building something there. There is also the risk of following a legend. Better to let Gerrard have it and pick up the pieces in a year or two.

Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

Jamie Carragher: He's considers Bob Paisley a vacuum? Even if he was an Everton supporter at the time, you think he'd know about Liverpool's most successful manager and the legendary bootroom.

He's done a pretty good job compared to City. Only five points per season compared to 15 or more for anyone else. . And half the gap was last season.

Well short of prime Ferguson or Wenger. But apart from Guardiola and prime Mourinho there aren't many others in the PL era.

Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

Any petitions yet? I''d also expect demands that the Prime Minister make a statement. Joking aside, any thoughts why he has made the announcement now. The club knew in November so they can be planning ahead with the announcement, which coming now seems more likely to derail their season and...

Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

Kippity-Klopp, he's off. Very surprising. I thought Klopp reach his overemotional peak a few years ago and that was when risk of burnout was highest. He seems to have calmed a bit (just a bit, mind you) and they've made some good buys recently.

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

It's all rather stupid. He could have given his pilots and girlfriend the money from pocket change. Why break the law for such tiny sums. P.S. I understand the old man and young girlfriend relationship, but the old man and pilots relationship is a new one. He could have afforded his own Pussy...

Deloitte Money League - up to 8th

United are sustainable and would be even more so without the Glazers. They are in their own category where their owners challenge their sustainablity (anti-sustainable?). Imagine if they'd spent a billion on a new stadium rather than banks and Glazer pocket money. I would say that Bayern...

    AFCON 2023

Mathematically they still have a chance. They need Algeria and Namibia to lose, although both are playing the team currently top in the group. Ivory Coast will probably squeak in. The four best third place teams qualifying is never good for the competition. Stick with a high quality 16 team...

    AFCON 2023

4-0 final The format with four third place teams going through helps, but they could still be eliminated. At least two teams are very likely to overtake them so they will be sweating on a few other games.

    AFCON 2023

There is a rule, although it might allow Egypt to release him, just as the United goalie was allowed to play an extra game for them before joining his country. Returning to Liverpool for treatment makes sense. He'll presumably get better treatment. If he recovers and Egypt qualify then he...

Maybe not. If its true he hasn't been paid due to a tax dodge, then that could also explain why the Saudi club are willing to let him go without recovering the transfer fee. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/01/17/jordan-henderson-salary-saudi-al-ettifaq-uk-tax/
