    VAR: Sponsored by Chelsea

Why - its in essence common law and works well in the majority of cases - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_law - People know /knew what is acceptable and if you have the rules in black and white that people find loopholes to take advantage of it. Look at the new handball rule, you will see...

    VAR: Sponsored by Chelsea

I disagree, refing in practice has always been done on precedent rather than the letter of the law. Trying to ref on the letter of the law has just highlighted that this was the case.

    VAR: Sponsored by Chelsea

This was a big no no for FIFA when they introduced VAR - their point was the on field Ref still makes the decisions and will still have final say so. Not judging if its good or not but it is a big difference.

think you may have misread they will be paying the other 96 million Euro in installments (that's why they paid more than the release fee) not on possible addons. They are also paying Jorge Mendes 12M fee. https://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2019/07/03/5d1d1645268e3e01178b4635.html

Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

they could just offer the high wages to the players who are decent they would still get players who want to come. In reality who were they competing in signing Rashford - barca and RM as reported in the press - yeh right.

    Transfer Tittle-Tattle

He was brilliant the year before he went to Roma - outside the obvious the best player in the league. I always liked him and stuck up for him at Stoke... that being said the rumour looks like bollox to me and I doubt very much there is anything in it.
