Indeed. Since the last crisis the Fed, BOE, BOJ, ECB, China all pumping money into the system at all levels of the economy. Just to buy bonds and keep the markets liquid, causing inflated asset prices but it’s not efficient and just kicking the can down the road.

Staggering how much the exchequer has provided and still coming to terms with how generous they’ve been. I don’t really understand why and where the money to pay for this will come from. Would have preferred the money tap to be turned off sooner rather than further decades of cuts and paying...

ah, ok thanks. Thought I was seeing things. I did think at the time why France is exempt but no other country. Still it’s strange timing by the govt -don’t you think? I can only think that’s it’s a way to boost our economy by getting us to stay and spend our money here.

agree, but with new owners ready to cut the fat to the bone on their excessive balance sheet, it was another angle on their plight. Watching Jack Rodwell picking up 70k/week in league 1 and happy to sit on his arse just sums up the ridiculous situation they were in.

Do you think as a nation people will obey another lockdown? The mantra is “ if Cummings can do it so can I”.

I think the one thing both sides of the coin agree on is that Boris has gone into hiding yet now he’s decided this issue above all others warrants a rare appearance. This is why he will lose support when even his most loyal supporters are questioning his priorities and rightly so.

That’s what I thought we didn’t include France now we have? Annoying as I was supposed to be heading over there and Macron has retaliated though the govt has decided to act 2 months late. Has anyone seen Boris btw?

Admittedly F1 has not been great recently compared to the Senna years etc but the point here is the documentary will give you non F1 fans an in-depth and quite superb road map of the sport insofar as the set up, the huge amount of pressure where the focus( season 1) is on the less successful...

Really, do tell. I don’t get the fanfare with basketball. If you’re over 6ft7” anyone can play the game right? What other skills are needed. It’s a simple game. What am I missing here. I’ve recently binged on Netflix watching drive to survive and although being a F1 fan, this would appeal to...

I would take Berbatov before Bale and possibly Gazza.

Berbs can say what he likes, for the time he was here it was great. If you have a poll of the players who brought that magic to us over the last 40 years, he would be near the top of the tree. Berbs Gazza Bale Ginola

Indeed never go back. Lets remember fondly and be nostalgic about the great times we had during his tenure but it rarely works out second time around. His legacy is secured.

    American politics

I can’t quite put my finger on why he hasn’t acted on Iran but maybe because it’s down to money or simply he’s too inward looking to care. That recent spat with Iran would have resulted in a war with all US presidents over the last few decades.

For the idiot he is and the rubbish that comes out of his mouth at times, the one thing he hasn’t done unlike all the others before him is gone to war.
