The gaps in that squad are the reason it didn't win anything.

What I'm saying to you is people aren't screaming about the 65m fee as putting us in the bracket of big boys because other clubs have spent a lot more on individual players. At this point 65m is not considered a massive fee which was what you were discussing earlier. People complaining are...

3 I think we are at cross purposes because that's not what I was saying at all. I think he has the skills already I just think as he becomes more comfortable at this level he will display those abilities more and more.

Bigger fees will still happen for the appropriate players. Solanke isn't one of those guys, let's not lie to ourselves. Lamine Yamal is going for 200m if Barca ever decide to sell him.

It's not cheap but it's not a massive fee nor a "statement of intent" as some fans pine for. I don't think it matters honestly, I'd rather pay less and get more.

Its claimed by Tottenham fans. The claim is not based on any actual evidence and has just become a self fulfilling statement amongst the Tottenham online fan base.

It's not because Solanke isn't a name it's because 65m comparatively isn't considered a massive fee anymore. If the same player had cost 100m the pressure on him right now from the press and fan base would be unbearable.

We paid a premium for the kids but they are cheaper to purchase and their wages lower than the established versions (not a bad thing).

In terms of the in the role of RB, he looks out of place for me honestly. Positionally a bit all over the place and very easy to bypass (and not just in this match). He however does look very good on the ball and fairly switched on. He fits the style of football we want to play although it feels...

They suffered we usually do. To intricate and no cutting edge. We looked really good on the counter, it does suit our fast attackers to have space to run into. I'd love to see a bit more of that even in games when we probably dominate possession in.

Too many people have been paying too much respect to the shirt and not the actual players they no longer have.

Richy has had a very positive effect since coming on. Wish he had finished that last chance though.

Bro you're talking like you haven't seen Werner play for Us, Chelsea and Leipzig. This is what he does, he does 90% well but the final bit, the bit that actually matters nearly always fails.

Beautiful from Sarr, as I've said a few times he's got a good eye for goal and technique for the longer distance shot. He used to do this all the time for Metz and the U17 Senegal team.

Cann we make the top 4 or 5?

We are no stronger than the teams listed. We are all there or thereabouts. United are brick but I guess he's giving the new manager the benefit of the doubt.

I don't disagree my argument is that him playing that singular game against Palace will not have damaged him and if it does mentally then he's not got the character he's going to need to make it as a professional. That's a decent point and again I don't disagree tbh, if he's playing every game...
