    You forget that the founding tenet of America is the freedom to persecute. They are all the religious zealots who left enlightening Europe so they could be free to abuse and harm each other. You can't really rationalise when you start from there.

    The landscape tends to determine that. Generally we have pasture in the west (wetter, uplands) and arable in the east (drier, flat). You'd struggle to switch between the two. If either weren't being used for what they currently are, they'd be best rewilded.

    Shifting from beef to kangaroo is the easiest way to make a massive difference. Healthier meat to eat (leaner), but just as tasty. And animals that take up much less grazing room per pound of meat, plus release massively less methane (a key greenhouse gas).

    You've got to do something. People shouldnt be dominating a society because their great grandad x10 fought at the Battle of Hastings and got given spoils. Or worse - they are their heirs of slavers, like most large landowners. Multi-generational land amassing is a very bad thing
