The Centre Forward thread

So we are apparently getting Savinho and Romano has said we are interested in Gakpo, would Oshimen be in addition or instead of?

200mil plus salaries.

I would expect we would need to sell Bergvall along with Romero, Vic etc. to make that happen.

From ESPN:

Tottenham Hotspur have made an opening offer to sign Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen worth around £55 million. (Ekrem Konur)

Anyone know anything about Konur?
£55m is cheap for arguably the best finisher in world football. I appreciate wages maybe harder, but we don't necessarily have to match his artificial Gala ones. Its up to him if he wants the glory, or to disappear to Saudi to maintain his money

55M, give him a signing bonus of 10-20M for him to accept lower wages and it would still be a steal of a deal

He would only be signing for us because we are prepared to pay him a lot more money than clubs competing for league titles and in the champions league.

Agreed. If we can essentially swap Romero and Vic for Osimhen, then we are a one more attacking player away from being genuine top-3 contenders imo.

None of the other Super League clubs are really in the market for an alpha CF. His options probably are us or Saudi

Is his x-factor worth it though? He's a whole different level of good from any other CF around this summer. And is De Zerbi the type of character that can harness him, because he has his own fireyness?
Maybe, who knows, but we have to take that on board, it comes with him as much as the goals.
