You can also pair either of them with Bentancur or Gray and it’s still a very competent midfield double pivot.

I agree with all that. Except with the injury situation to our three main #10s, unfortunately Gallagher is going to end up toiling there a lot.

West Ham want as much, upfront and before June 30th.

It works against United who were hoping the player would do "I'm only interested in United" like Mbeumo last summer and wait out everyone.

In last 4-6 hours pretty much everyone is reporting it as Spurs involved ..

You may prefer Wharton but suspect RDZ may not agree with you. From what I have seen, and I may be worng, I do not think that RDZ's system works with a deep lying metronome playmaker like Wharton.

One aspect our board completely missed these past few years is that a young players also needs quality players around him to develop. It's nice to have good coaches and superb facilities, but it's not enough. I was the first to laugh at Chelsea when they signed Gullit and Vialli but it completely transformed their tin-pot club.

Play and train alongside Vialli, Gullit or Zola = good
Play and train alongside Sissoko, Aurier and Winks = not good

To be fair to the Beeb they do only publish a full page on a story when there is substance to it, if they reported every rooster & bull transfer gossip story that circulates the internet if would fill the entire website.

If Fernandes is coming in that's another non-HG place taken in the PL squad , we are over the 17 senior player limit , when are the outgoings going to start ?

I think we now have 42 over 21s on our books, so there's going to need to be a huge sell-off over the next two months

May have missed someone but I make these our senior non-HGs, Vic, Radu, Xavi, Richy, Tel ( he is 21 so may still count as non senior) , Udogie,Romero, Kudus, Deki, Porro, Odobert, Sarr, Bents , Kinsky, VDV, Takai, Solomon, Robertson, Senesi, Dubravka and Veliz.
All others like Souza are either under 21 or homegrowns like Maddison, you can have as many U21's as you like in a PL squad regardless of nationality.

I make it 22 senior non HG, we know some like Solomon are definitely going but there will need to be others to make way for any non-HGs coming in
