Randal Kolo Muani

Apparently he's fine, but RKM was involved in a minor car crash.

edit: oops, seen this was posted in the Odobert thread. I think Odobert just stopped to help RKM out. Either way, glad they're both fine, although shame about the car. That is some big damage. Probably out for 4-6 months, but still waiting news from the medical team.

I hope he stays through the end of the season. The poor guy has had a terrible time of it recently, not just since he joined us, but over the past few years bouncing around from club to club and never really getting settled.

I think he is the type of player who needs an arm around his shoulder and given some time to build his confidence and enjoy his football again. He obviously has bags of talent and I see a lot of similarities between his situation and Dembele's at PSG. He can play the pretty football we all want to see and links well with Xavi and Odobert. If we play to his strengths, he can provide a great foil to Solanke and has a much higher ceiling too. Maybe not the guy for a cold, Tuesday night at Stoke for example but a player who could help really lift this squad to the next level.

I prefer him to all the alternatives being floated around. He's way more technically capable than any of them. As Simons grows into his role, hopefully the type of service he thrives on will improve

I feel like all of our PL performances have been cold nights in stoke. I agree with you for the most part, as a team in poor form is hard to settle into given the mental state of the club at the moment. That goes for Xavi as well. I can't expect anything big from him either, but at least his attitude looks better than RKM's. Even though Richi can also be hit or miss, the fans generally are pleased with him since he at least tries really hard.

Agree. RKM could easily be one of those players who looks as though they don’t give a fudge but in fact suffers from Resting Nofux Face when they are giving their best. Moving to a new country, getting no preseason, suffering from a dead leg then a broken jaw, playing in various positions for a team that appears to have no identity, then a car crash etc. Tough to really judge anyone on top of all that.

Richie on the other hand is all dramatics.

One of several attacking players suffering from a lack of service imo. Had he gotten better service he may have gotten a small handful of PL goals and things could have been different.

At the same time right now we need players who will do their utmost and fight for every point regardless of the circumstances and at that, maybe because of the circumstances you mentioned, he's come up short.

If he can turn that around all credit to him for that. Would be really good for us. Maybe the goal against Frankfurt could be a boost.
