Lucas Bergvall

Out for 2 to 3 months according to swedish media. :(

Translation
Head coach Graham Potter has not had much more than setbacks since he took over as Swedish head coach last October. Now comes another blow for the Swedish national team and Potter.
Information to Fotbollskanalen suggests that Tottenham's Lucas Bergvall is so severely injured that he is expected to be out for two to three months. Sweden meets Ukraine in the playoff semi-final on March 26 and the squad will be selected on March 18. According to two sources, Bergvall will not be ready for Sweden's World Cup playoff.
Tottenham midfielder Bergvall has had problems after an injury against Bournemouth, but was back from the start against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. Even then he had to step off after an hour of play, with a new blow. The message after that is said to be grim and that he will be out going forward. Information suggests that Tottenham needed him in play due to the club's injury crisis, but it ended badly.
Graham Potter has not yet got back Dejan Kulusevski who has been out since May even if the duo followed Tottenham's match in the Champions League together. But Alexander Isak also looks set to miss Sweden's World Cup playoff after an unfortunate foot injury and operation.
Add to that that goalkeeper Viktor Johansson has been operated on and is uncertain for the matches in March

Was it the Can challange that caused it? If I recall correctly it was after that he was limping around.

Looked like a "Knee on Knee" knock and not a twist or something, surprised by the reported rehab period

WT acual F

Might as well say he is out for the rest of the season really

Can we actually go a game without picking up a serious injury. I get that most teams will pick up an injury niggle each week, but ffs ours always seem to be long term

After seeing the pic he posted I fully expect to hear Simons is out for a month too

Is this something to do with our pitch?? No other team has these continual issues?

He was fouled. Not sure the pitch had anything to do with it.

I’d like to know what the actual injury is. That’s a very quick diagnosis for an issue that could keep him out for up to 3 months.

Left ankle.....Emre Cann stepped on it
Thanks.

I was more curious as to the nature of the injury, ligament, fracture etc.

I’ve just seen it described as an ankle sprain. Which means there’s likely to be swelling. Normally you’d wait for the swelling to go down before doing a scan. The diagnosis came out less than 24 hours after the game, that’s too quick. I think the 2-3 months is speculation pending the actual scan.

I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and hope it’s not as bad as we all fear!
