*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Doncaster Rovers - Carabao Cup ***

Got about another hour and forty to go on the train till I’m home, but just to say, fair play to the Doncaster fans, that’s not a short journey and they were bloody loud tonight for every single minute of that.

We were good enough, thought Palinha and Gray had decent games (Palinha especially was noticeable) but we definitely went in to sleep walk mode second half.

Shame Tel couldnt convert either of his chances, havent seen replays but they looked to be fairly straightforward to sweep home? Hopefully it comes, as I still haven’t quite worked out exactly what he is yet.

Feel for tel. He needed a goal tonight. The pressure is going to build as many fans have already made their mind up.
 
i only managed to catch the highlights of the game but it looked like Frank has set up this game nicely for speed.
also, bergvall is going to attract the atttention of top clubs very soon

Good combination of speed and technical quality. Odobert, Simons, Gray. That allowed us to get the best out of those quick players who need space to use their speed.

Struggled a bit at the start of both halves when Doncaster just threw everything at us and ran like their lives depended on it. But that's not surprising with a team lacking somewhat in experience and being used to playing together in those roles.

The first one came really fast, and it was just a case of having the wrong foot planted in the ground at the moment the ball came. The second one it seemed he tried to put his laces through it, instead of just passing it into the net.
