So, what happened today?

I’d find driving abroad very stressful! Whereas I love flying and am quite happy at airports as long as I get there early. But I agree that other people can be stressful. I fail to understand people who get right up to the security check and only then start to take off their coats, belts, take out their liquids (when necessary), iPad, empty their pockets etc. You’ve just spent at least 5-10 mins in the bloody queue. Do it then!
And on the plane people who recline their seats as soon as the seatbelt sign goes off, then spend most of the flight sitting upright watching films.

99% of the driving I do abroad is on motorway way so no biggie and I try and depart and arrive outside rush hour.

I don't have any fear of flying at all.
If I had to die, plane crash would probably be one of my favourite options, just screaming downwards and exploding in milliseconds; but the massively important point is that this must be on the way home. I'd be bloody livid if it was on the way out, after months of work.

Homer Simpson has a funny line about dying on vacation on the Simpsons ride at Universal Studios.

I flew into London once in the jumpseat of an airline roosterpit. Quite a different perspective from the front, as you can imagine. My abiding memory was the pilot (and copilot) didn't do a lot. A minor bit of faffing around at takeoff and landing, and then autopilot. Interesting experience, though.

Tell me you are not a commercial pilot?

Getting ready for 4 days of rock, metal, beer and sun. Currently listening to the former secretary general of NATO give the opening speech and talk about his hippie days going to Clapton and Santana.

What bands you targeting to see? Any clashes between 2 fave bands on different stages?

I'd defo go and watch Alanis tomorrow. Bit biased as I'm in an Alanis tribute band though.

I'd also go and seek out Fogerty, Celeste, Prodigy, Scissor Sisters, Cullum, Fratellis to name a few

Tons of Rock in Norway. Already caught local band Black Debbath, Alestorm, Candlemass and a tiny bit of Electric Callboy (total garbage). Dream Theater, Powerwolf and Muse to come and that's just today.
