The thing with stats like this is people tend to not really use their brains to interpret the information in a useful way. Top speed doesn't really tell a great deal, Dier used to always rank quite highly for top speed, but in football terms acceleration is a lot important and his acceleration was very slow. Then add on to that, are they as fast accelerating actually with the ball at their feet or are these runs when they are chasing or moving into space. Neither again are anywhere near as useful as being able to run with the ball at speed and in control.
Take Messi in his prime, he never had the fastest top speed but in short distances please no one can tell me there was anyone who had his speed and control and nimbleness.
