Haha yeah I certainly know a couple of mates that break their fast with a vodka red bull! As I've said we aren't so much talking British Muslims as in descendants of those that came here post-war but more recent arrivals that may be more conservative.

I'm not a fan of organised religion for many reasons whilst also recognising it shaped much of the 4 walls of society and gave structure (in some places). But it's clear that institutions like the Catholic church have been used to aaccumulate wealth and power.
At risk of derailing thread into an entirely different topic, your comment just kind of got me, because I felt exactly the same as you. Used to hate children and would cringe when friends kids were thrust on me to hold.

I have a child well he is an adult now.
It should be banned from being taught to children, any parent taking a child to a religious building should have the child taken off them by social services.
