Dominic Solanke

Yes Solanke works hard. For me he is a back to goal, hold the ball up player.
Never going to be a prolific goalscorer.
Id much rather a striker who attacks the defense and gets shots off, like Mbuemo or Semenyo for example.

Neither Mbuemo or Semenyo are strikers

He's playing the role Ange wants him to play, and that's why Ange bought him, because he can play that role.

But that's not his only strength, and the only way he can play. He can definitely be a focus and physical handful but feed him chances, get him more involved in final third link up play and he'd score numbers like he did at Bournemouth.

Ange is not going to change what he wants Dom to do though, so all we can hope is the workhorse mileage is not detrimental going forward.

We can also hope that we get better wingers who score and create more a la Liverpool when they had Firminho who did a similar job to Solanke (and a great job it was) but had Mane and Salah with exceptional output. Personally I'd go big on getting an established quality right sided wing forward, and be happy with options of Odobert/Tel/Moore of whom at the very least one I would be on growing into a top player on the other side....
