This is why if we get knocked out tonight (which I don't think we will be) why Ange should go. We need to recruit a new manager as soon as possible so they can ascertain and analyse the squad. For a while we may just have to put up with Mason, but seriously, can he be any worse than Ange?

Who do you think we could get "as soon as possible" that would a) be succesful b) please the majority of the "fanbase" c) be available d) want to join us e) what is asap. These question should the the contingency thread but I've asked it there and not recieved any concise answers.

To enjoy watching Spurs play what I perceive as good football, I really don't care about doing well as that means so many things to so many people.

If you think this is good football fair enough. I don't.
Search my posts in this thread. I have never slagged him off or levy, or the players. I just think that we can do a lot better and would like change.

Sometime change for change sake is required

- At this point even an interim would send a particular message (i.e. failure will not just be ok)
- New manager bounce could get us to conference (small chance, but it's zero with Ange)

To your questions

a) this is literally Munn's job, if he hasn't been working on a succession plan since at least November, he should be fired along with Ange
b) You don't make decisions for the fanbase
c) see point a.
d) see point a.
e) If we get knocked out of Europe, replacement timeframe is before preseason.

We have literally had Poch, Jose, Conte in last 6 or so years, we pay top 3 manager salaries (example, we could easily 8X Iriola's salary and he wouldn't be close to the most expensive manager we have had), we spend top 4 money on players, we have a high profile London club with modern facilities ... and with all of that, we have fans who will constantly argue "no one wants to come here"

No but you've just posted "the league says we're brick" whereas I think it says we are 13th and demonstrates your frame of mind. I don't think many believe these are good times but the misery and abuse that hangs round this is trying.

Thanks that's a lot clearer, I must remember point b) when I read this thread.

We've lost 40% more games than we've won. For one of the richest and biggest teams in the league, that is brick.

I’m often confused by what you think might be being said on the football forum of a team who have been playing poorly for over a year, and who seem to be drifting backwards, while further losing any identity they once had.

You might enjoy this more than here:

:)

The only reason it's our most important game of the season is because we have nothing else to play for. We lose we are back to the sugar years with season over in march.
We could be in the top 4 and this would still be one of if not the most important games of the season. It's the chance to win a major European trophy, which to me is about as big as it gets.....

I don't enjoy it, but I'm mature enough to face difficult times without viewing everything from an extreme view. I've long taken the view not to get to upset about sporting events I've not got any control over.

I think your personal experience may not be reflective of general society.

When Micky VDV is commented upon the usual reference is that he is a specimen with pace and power and when Romero farts on the pitch he is known as clumsy and rash … Marc geuhi is often referred to as an intelligent Center back who reads the game well and is a supreme athlete as is Van Dyke etc … I don’t see what’s wrong calling a spade a spade. This is regardless of race. I think people are so quick to generalise and then pick a case in a straw man argument.

Anyway England has come a long long way compared to other countries and it should be applauded and appreciated rather nit picking about what would be ideal, hedonistic or whatever. If you look deep enough and deconstruct every word a case can be made for anything of your agenda is inclined that way. This is not to say a bunch of idiots don’t exist.
You're experiences as a man of Asian descent are not the same as though of an African/Carribbean experience. We both have our trials but they are not necessarily the same and you shouldn't be trying to negate the experience of others especially those whose shoes you have not walked in.

Well said, survivorship bias at play

I don’t think that is what I was doing or intended.
