    Mohammed Kudus

If Kudus was perfect we wouldn’t be able to buy him or afford him. The tantalising hope is he has the ingredients and can start to fire on all cylinders and be the player he was in his first season at wham. A bit of a diamond in the ruff potentially. There’s no doubt he has technical skill and...

    Mohammed Kudus

So when we get guzumped, we are not too emotionally invested. Interesting point re. Moore. And it does highlight our lack of dribbling. Kulu probably closest to Kudus, but a very different player. Covered it in the general transfer thread, but of the linked players who fit a similar profile...

Okay if you say so. To me it seemed like they were insinuating there was a culture of abusing women in football (and there maybe). "At some point you need to tackle the culture, not the individual cases." How do you read that? The lofty ambition that we should be tackling the culture of England...

    Putin & Russia

I don’t agree. Different nations have different warmongering biases. Just because a nation is the ‘other’ doesn’t mean they are the ones inciting wars, selling arms and killing thousands. Rather than looking at China we should focus on ourselves in this one.

It’s a totally separate thing. You’ve moved the argument over to suit your narrative. I agree violence against women needs a whole lot more work. Who doesn’t? We were talking about football and in the context of that narrative you said: there is a cultural problem. I asked you to substantiate...

No argument from me. You’ve moved the argument into a more general societal one, and I agree. Maybe because you weren’t on such solid ground making prejudgments about footballers?

I thinking you’re going off on a tangent here. You said we have to tackle the culture. As though there is some kind of inherent culture in football that needs addressing. You haven’t provided any evidence for that.

You were talking about tackling the culture. Your words. Suggesting there was some kind of systematic issue in football. I simply asked you to substantiate your claim. And you lost it. There may well be. Idk. But I’d respond to evidence not some moral panic with no substance.

I think you’ve lost the plot. Trying to feed words into other people mouths to win an argument? 😂 Where did I say that!

Things are far far better now than they were 50, 40, 30 even 20 and 10 years ago. Not that you’d think so reading Tommys posts. Remember lads mags and lad culture? It wasn’t all that long ago. Now people are far more inclusive and respectful. No one believed things are perfect and there are...

Wow! You really are wasted. You should be declaring moral panic for the Daily Fail. You fit their modus operandi: make a sweeping statement about the ills of today, don’t back it up with any evidence, then berate others and call them sad because you can’t substantiate yourself 😂

Ermmm…or you’re making claims without citing evidence.

    The Goon Thread

Isn’t there a film about stopping pre-crime where thoughts are policed? You’re suggesting we no longer have innocence until proven guilty. There is an alternative and that is simply that such vital cases in the public eye are felt with quickly as many other serious cases are.

@tommysvr Any evidence to back this up? It’s a sweeping Daily Mail like statement. I’m sure the majority of young players are hugely respectful and disciplined, and things are probably better than they have ever been in terms of respect and equality.
