Yep. I don’t understand why people are annoyed when Liverpool win. It’s in our interest that they keep winning.

Some fair and valid points here. I don’t think it’s a secret that we don’t create a lorry load of chances from open play as Paul Merson would say. Hopefully that should improve with the new additions when they settle in and when we get the likes of Kulu and Maddison back.

No I actually meant it 😂 it was a tinkle take at West Ham fans. In all seriousness, I thought he dealt with their fans reaction really well, helps that their fans are so far away from the pitch. He was cool and composed and put in an excellent performance. Showed them what they were missing.

Real complete performance for 60-70 mins. The standouts were Judus and Bergvall but also thought the centre halves were dominant and showed controlled aggression. Still laughing about the goal that was disallowed. Even Alan Smith thought it was harsh that the goal was disallowed 😂 One thing...

Did anyone get a voucher for the shop for renewing their season ticket? Don’t recall getting an email this year?

People have downplayed the importance of trophies. At a time when we don’t win many of them. Not saying you can’t still enjoy football without trophies but that is ultimately why we watch, in the hope that we win things.

Not even worth engaging about Liverpool, his views are divorced from reality.

I’d say trophies are the most important measure of success. Had we won more over the last 20 years then we would talk them up more, alas we haven’t so some downplay the importance of them.

Posters were absolutely crowing about the points total at the time. It was circa 7 years ago so you’ll forgive me if I can’t recall specifics about which posters, how many etc. no one would be crowing about this had we won the league in either of those seasons.

The middle paragraph is so true. We used to crow about getting more points than any other team for 2 seasons when Poch was manager and Leicester and Chelsea won the league. It’s the same line Arsenal are using now because they finished 2nd 3 years running and amassed more points than anyone...

I don’t think we’re a million miles apart. The part I don’t agree with is that he doesn’t need to take any responsibility when we don’t get over the line. He gets credit for building the foundations but isn’t responsible when we don’t win. It’s a bit having your cake and eating it.

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

Indeed. And even in the mainstream media, the opinion on Levy is fairly balanced. Lots of pundits and ex players go out of their way to applaud him but acknowledge that he’s probably not the person to take us to the next level. Simon Jordan has always been a staunch defender of Levy and even he...

Fair point. But it’s equally strange how much credit Levy gets for elevating us when it was a team effort of him, managers, coaches and players.

I’ve said many times that the players and the managers also need to take responsibility for not turning up in big games and for not winning trophies. Levy is part of that equation too.
