    Suggestions Pls

Nice one mate. I transferred all of the 'winnings' from my hedging of my Spurs to be relegated bets to Alzheimers research.

I don't tend to judge the capability of people by how they look. I suggest you try to do the same as you'll be ruling out lots of people for some silly inherent bias. I also suggest that you give CEO's a bit more time than 6 months before you judge how they can turn around a failing business...

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Let's see. However, if Vinai is being allowed to make decisions then he should walk. There's no point in being a CEO if somebody else is actually making the key decisions at the top.

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Levy is more than 50% the reason that we ended up 17th this season, I don't think one has to spin it at all. This season has come about because of half a decade plus of the club being badly run from a football perspective. The buck stops with the chief exec. Let's see whether or not we get...

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Why was Frank hired?..... Because he was Lange's Danish mate I think. Why did it take so long to correct?.... I suspect because they wanted to trust the 'expert' (the DoF). Let's see what happens to the DoF this summer as a result. The on pitch gap exists because of all of those things...

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

It takes a brave new CEO to come in and change nothing at all. I'm not sure that any CEO simply makes changes for changes sake though. They will typically think that something could operate better and make changes to try to accomodate that. A few minor tweaks for a business that is performing...

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

I'm not sure quite who you expect the blame to be apportioned to? Do you agree or disagree that our performance against (what should be) our main metric (on the football side of things) had badly regressed? If so then do you not think that the blame can only lie with the predecessor?

First act of a good leader. Assess the operation and work out what is working and failing. Second act of a good leader. Restructure to address the parts that are failing

Which is why they have appointed a very good CEO with good experience at a club who are bigger than we are.

Indeed. He did some great stuff, he then badly mucked things up. See my comparison to Blackberry a few pages ago.... Would you want a Blackberry now?

Wasn't Lange appointed when Levy was still the chief exec? Also what do you think is bad about Vinai? I find it strange that you think you can judge a CEO after he has had control for only around 6 months. Let's give him at least a couple of years before we decide on him..... after all - we...

    Transfer thread

Interesting.... I posted this last year at the point when we had zero creatitve midfielders a short while before the season started: Xavi Simons is available and a very good player. Suspect we don't want to pay the big wages these types of players demand however. Oihan Sancet at Bilbao is a...

Ah this summer's first mention of the infamous 'smokescreen' and before the transfer window has already opened.
