    The Goon Thread

The Fleetwood owners also own my local League of Ireland club so it's getting a lot of attention here. F**king wonderful. I've been less than gracious with the Woolwich fans I know. Think the winning penalty had barely hit the back of the net before I had Whatsapp open. One of them is my son's...

Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

And they'll be in the relegation zone by the end of that run... This definitely isn't Carrick's fault - the club is all over the place. The owners don't give the manager the right support or environment and the dressing room seems to be full of back-stabbing egos. He should never have got the...

Still one of our own - HK

Absolutely thrilled for him. In his early days, if you'd told me that Kane would become a regular in our team, I'd have laughed you out of court. If you'd told me he'd be our record scorer, I'd have checked what you were sniffing. If you'd told me he'd be on track to double the goals record for...

    Mateus Fernandes Official

Can’t agree mate. It’s not a non contact sport. Fernandes tried to draw contact, felt the touch and went down when he didn’t have to. A free kick often gets given in that situation but it shouldn’t be. The inconsistency is frustrating but it’s never a foul for me. Given the inconsistency in...

100%. It wasn’t a foul and it’s good to see refs not giving them. It’s risky behaviour from Fernandes to do it there. There was one with their number 2 second half where Kudus dispossessed him and he went down squealing like a pig. Never a foul and ref ignored the theatrics correctly. The lad...

I’m one of those who wondered “why” when we signed Gallagher but thought he was really good when he came on. Did well against Coventry in midweek and had a great game at Old Trafford so he’s really starting to find a bit of rhythm. Would have Madders over him in the 10 but he’s a great option.

You’re not wrong. I thought he was outstanding but there were a few very loose passes that put us in trouble while him hitting the deck first half in our corner flag could have cost us. He showed he can be massive for us but it wasn’t a perfect performance by any means.

Good Lord. Some questionable ratings early on but when I got to Tonali and Maddison. Wow. You really wonder how someone gets a job writing about football when they clearly haven’t a clue.

fudging magnificent. Best performance under RdZ for me. We dingdonged them completely. Tonali and Fernandes outstanding obviously. Maddison brilliant. Thought Kudus won the ball high several times and made it stick brilliantly at others. Credit Tel, what a fudging goal and he just keeps going...

Bentancur went for much much less than that.

None of them getting as much of the ball as Tel. Everything going down his side. Harsh on Madders too.

I like Tel and don’t disagree with the above but he has to produce more. He has the tools, he has the character but he has to add end product or he’ll be warming the bench or worse.

We’ve been excellent. The midfield three are running the game and Kudus has been very good at making the ball stick too. We look fudging brilliant when we start changing the direction of play with one touch passing. Chelsea can’t live with it. Only thing is, our football is high risk. On the...
