    Rodrigo Bentancur

It's a fair point Steff. But is it the FA's job to educate Bentancur or the club's job as he's their employee? If the club had been clever here they'd have accepted the punishment rather than appealing which, I assume based on the rules, will mean at best a one game reduction and sent Bentancur...

I still remember it. So do most football fans. If we still remember it, more than a decade later, so do others. I can even recall Fergie at the time publicly saying that Liverpool's name had been dragged through the mud by their carry on. And he was dead right.

Luis Suarez was an incredible footballer. One of the best I've seen in the last 20 years. What do I associate him with? Being a biter and a racist. Kenny Dalglish was an unbelievable footballer and a very successful manager. What's my last memory of him in the game? Wearing that poxy t-shirt...

The minimum ban for the offence he pleaded guilty to is 6 games as I understand it. From the BBC:

    Rodrigo Bentancur

I think the appeal is bonkers to be honest. He's admitted his guilt (which is pretty undeniable regardless of perceived intent). The offence carries a minimum 6 game ban and he got 7. So best case scenario, I'd have thought, is that the ban gets reduced by 1 game. That's not worth the PR damage...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

Na, not having that. Don't bother about stats. Klinsmann was considered a world star at the time. Anyone who watched football knew who he was and had seen him play because he'd done it at the very, very highest level. He was a World Cup winner and had been successful in the toughest...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

He really was and he was a World Cup winner. You also have to consider the context. When we signed Klinsmann, top foreign players didn't play in England. They played in Spain and Italy. Sugar wasn't a great chairman for us on the whole but that really was a case of "To Dare is to Do" along...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

There may have been a perception that Klinsmann was a little past his best in some quarters but his signing was a bolt from the blue in every respect. It was us going out and getting a top, top player at a time when the top foreign players didn't come to England. It was ballsy and ambitious. I...

OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project ** Saturday 23 November 2024

Have no idea what will happen. Could see any score. Funnily enough, we're probably one of the worst sides City could be playing. I'd fancy them to beat almost anyone to end the 4 game losing run but with their history against us and our unpredictability, anything could happen. Last year, I was...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Honestly, I really don’t know. We looked our best against Villa, West Ham and United. We looked dreadful against Palace, Ipswich and some cup games. And, truthfully, that’s what we’ve been under Ange for some time. We have no track record of consistency under him whereas Woolwich do have that...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Woolwich have conceded 12. We've conceded 13. And they've been a long way from their best. We've the joint 6th best defensive record in the league.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

One of my question marks over Ange is something I really like about him. It's how big picture he is. He doesn't sweat the details. 1. Last year when we had injuries? "It's not ideal but it's fine, injuries happen to everyone" 2. International matches? "It's a great honour for people to play...

    Rodrigo Bentancur

Doesn't matter IMO. He's in a position where he's always representing the club and the league and said something brainless and offensive. I've no sympathy for him. If he was another club's player, most on here would be saying the same.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2024/25

Anyone know if Wolves is set in stone? Was about to book flights and see that the time is "TBA" on Google.

Cann we make the top 4 or 5?

It’s still very possible but I can’t see it to be honest. Think the inconsistency will continue and we’ll finish 6th - 10th. For me, 6th is still par and even 8th should give Ange another season. I’d probably give him another season if he finished 10th but not sure Levy is as forgiving as me...

OMT *** TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR V IPSWICH TOWN *** Sun 10th Nov, 14:00 BST, The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Sometimes, you start to believe that “Doctor Tottenham” is just a cliched joke and then the last 3 weeks happen and you realise…it’s who we are mate.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

He’s been doing that since he got here. Wasn’t a problem last year when we were winning. By all accounts, despite that habit, he’s a very inspirational speaker and you can see why. Of all the problems we have, that’s near the bottom of the list.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

It’d be bonkers to fire him now. I’m not sure he’s lost the dressing room or anything - some recent performances have been great and it’s hard to do that if the players aren’t behind the manager. But he’s made us as inconsistent as we’ve ever been and, honestly, I don’t see an end to that. At...

OMT *** TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR V IPSWICH TOWN *** Sun 10th Nov, 14:00 BST, The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

That was embarrassingly poor. Got what we deserved. Never really looked like scoring a second. Shocker from pretty much every player on the pitch and the man in the dugout. Ipswich deserved their 3 points.
