    I'm not the biggest fan of Gallagher but I find this hard to deny. It looks at least on paper reasonably balanced and higher in quality levels at the specific things each player is good at as opposed to the melange of meh we've generally played so far this season.

    He's a squad option for them, rather than a key starter. Also Athletico are never afraid to sell a player to fund the addition of someone new. Again they are a team more than happy to player trade to get the players they actually need.

    Villa also have less need for him and so less desire to add him permanently to their wage bill. He's a potentially useful addition for them in the short term to achieve their goals right now, but necessarily someone they require long term.

    I had a strong opinion of Jose beforehand and so I didn't think he was suited. I didn't and don't have a strong opinion of Frank, so I'm willing to give the season to show me what he's about.

    Its deluded to expect to win all of those games and thats what he said. He actually expects to win them all but accepts that you won't get perfect results. Thats different to saying I expect to win 3 out of 4 home games.
