Too predictable for me and feel all Spurs problems stem from middle of field . We just don't know how to dominate games .. We don't have centre midfield players who can control games . Two players who can get other players ahead of them playing .. Thought Bentaleb was woeful again ... A harmless performance by him what did he do ? Dier was strong and defensively solid but he's not going to create much for us .. Chadli had beaten of Coleman all day long and still couldn't take advantage .. On right hand side there was nothing .. Walker has brick for brains and just don't do anything that side of field ..

Thought we edged it on balance of play; huffed and puffed but sorely lacked ideas in the final third. We really seem to have no idea how to play in and around the opposition box. So ponderous; all this slow circular stuff, then either try and stumble through three or four defenders and lose possession or smack it into a crowd of legs. Both Kane and Mason should have put their chances away, though. Ref was a total fuсking mug.

Barkley for example offered nothing, lukaku was snuffed out completely and had zero shots, so for once we looked like. A solid defensive unit
We created plenty too so the attacking side was very good but lacked the edge

Just got back from the game and how very, very frustrating. I haven't seen any of the game on tv, so this is just my impression from where I was sat. My eyesight is as poor as the Ref's as well, so I may get some of the names wrong!
I'm going to start with the positives:
- We were the dominant team in that we looked better defensively and we created the most chances;
- Dier looks like a proper defensive midfielder. He was tify in posession, cut out their options and was just a nuisance for them;
- Rose has cemented his place as first choice left back. Kone was a bit of a handful but Rose stayed calm and assured and actually offered something in attack. He had one chance which he skied, but he's not in the team for his goal scoring exploits;
- Mason looked quite good first half and then his influence just vanished as soon as he was moved to the right;
- Vertonghen started doing something in the second half that I wanted him to do all match and that was move forward and draw one of their players to him. It was so frustrating at times in the first half where the defence either Jan or Toby just stood still and waited for one of the midfielders to drop so they could give the easy ball. No! Draw one of the Everton players to you or just dribble into their box!; and
- The crowd got really loud. Still the odd grumble here and there, but that's Spurs fans!
And the things to work on:
- Finishing!! It just didn't work for Kane, Mason or Chadli. Last season I would have put a lot of money on Kane scoring that 1 on 1. But I suppose the positive is that they were getting in those positions in the first place;
- Directness. It seems like we need some nasty tackles to wake us up and make us want to be more direct. As soon as Naismith came on he was being an angry scottish scrote, but it seemed to make us want to punish him for it. I thought Alli tried to do this when he came on but I think it didn't work as well mainly because he needs more time playing with Kane;
- They need to work on passing AND moving. We were sometimes stationary making it hard to get the ball to them;
- We started very, very slowly. My heart was sinking in the first 10 minutes because we couldn't do anything with the ball or without it;
- We desperately need some pace to trouble the opposition. I hope that Poch works with the team as to how to incorporate our new signings. I want to see our players driving towards goal every time they get the ball, not passing it back to the defenders and then have one of the midfielders drop off to pick it up from them; and
- Kane needs to stop coming in so deep or the inside forwards need to provide him with options when he does. If he's not careful I think he will suffer from Rooney syndrome. His best play was when he was playing off the last man and took a gamble. When he drops deep, no one else goes ahead of him so the pass inevitably goes sideways or backwards.
I thought Everton only came to defend and spoil. If Lukaku is £25m plus, then so is Ade. Naismith came on to spoil some more. McCarthy I thought was really good and I can see why we were interested in him. Mirallas I hope was a smokescreen from us. I don't think he will offer us anything different. Barkley looked average.
Overall, I thought we were much the better team. With more incisiveness and pace I think we can be very dangerous. We're nearly there and are certainly not woeful. The ref made some questionable decisions. Kane got mullered by Stones I think and there was no foul?

we did have pritchard though who Im sure is more than capable of putting in a good set piece.
Thought we played well today. Pleased with how we're progressing. No one is expecting to tear up any trees so happy that we can coast along at our own pace and use the season to improve as a team.
Danny Rose was supreme today, Kone could have given most left backs a really torrid afternoon but Rose completely dominated him as the game wore on. Absolutely superb.
Dier was brilliant, his reading of the game has clearly improved already in CM berth. Used it well too with some nice passes. He's a good footballer.
Echoing what most people have said we were snatching at our chances today. Lacked that bit of composure. Mason was a positive for me at AM, and another option. His finishing needs some work but did some good things. Kane, keep your head up the goals will come.

Observations:
1. Kane needs a like for like swap - he works really hard but there is no one to sub on for him.
2. Better penetration and forward momentum once Alli was on.
3. Dier was effective mostly, as was Rose -good runs and link up play from him.. (Apart from their shooting).
4. Walker is limited, and limits us as team, especially in terms of making runs forward (unless under instruction not to) and occasional lack of concentration.
5. Shooting practice with players under pressure is required. We are so wasteful with chances.
6. The referee was poor.

We really should've won that game today, got to admit Evertin were poor - Martinez set them out for the draw when a braver man would've attacked our powder puff team. You could've understood it if our team was full of creativity and attacking danger and pace but we were ponderous most of the time, lacked width with any purpose- walker and rose got wide but where was the end product? This team looks like a team being built for one purpose only - for the future. Not this season not next season maybe the season next.
Our spine is missing in the middle and up front sad to say. Benty dier mason are not a top cm by any stretch and we lack that but of proper experience and someone to dictate the tempo. Kane needs someone upfront

I really didn't see it that way as the end product were the number of chances that we had. But for better finishing we would have had a comfortable win. We have to get used to the fact that teams will set themselves up to draw against us and spoil our play as they think we are soft. But for the 10 minutes, I don't think we were under that much pressure.
However I do agree with you that we are ponderous. Pass and move and that movement has to be towards the opposition goal.

All in all a good performance, apart from not scoring, I think. Had we won this game, we`d all be happy. Not that everything is rosy, we still look static and are not clicking very well as a team, but defensively we`re better and we actually create several good chances despite looking clueless around Everton`s box.
Four games without a win is not satisfactory though. Today was another two points lost.
Oh, and the ref was very poor, especially in the second half. So many wrong decisions, unfortunately mostly in our disfavour (although Everton should have had a penalty).
Think we need Eriksen back desperately, and Kane to get his goalscoring boots back on. Will also be interesting to see what Clinton and Son will add to the team - they can`t possibly be worse than Chadli`s second half performance today.
